I feel like each album Colter creates is sung by a different character. Imaginary Appalachia was the outlaw, Song of the Plains has prospector vibes, and Little Songs is the lonely, workin cowboy.

It's meant to be that way my friend. It is actually very difficult to play / sing this style , where the picking is slightly on different timing. It takes great skill.
