His guitar has that unique sound because he tunes his guitar down and uses a capo to come back to standard tuning, but it gives it more twang and fits his vocal range better… that’s what I’ve discovered trying to learn his songs anyways

Just got recommended this video. Colter is great! He had to change his way of singing because it was causing issues so he sounds a little different now, but still great. Please check out William Elliott Whitmore, he has an interesting voice. He sounds very different than what you'd expect. He doesn't have many videos, but please at least give "Hell or High Water" a listen. Off to check out more of your videos now. 😁

If you want to see him doing something totally different vocally and going down the route of old-school cowboy country, he had a cover of the Stan Jones (writer of the Johnny Cash hit Ghost Riders in the Sky) written song Cowpoke, first recorded by Elton Britt and the Skytoppers. If you want another artist with a deep catalog, might a suggest another Canadian? Corb Lund is a great artist and songwriter. Might I suggest Horse Soldier as your first foray into him?

Man, I love your reactions! This style of music hits different. You need to check out Charles Wesley Godwin. He has an amazing voice, amazing songwriting abilities, and is friends with Zach Bryan. What more could you want? My favorites are Jesse, Hardwood Floors, Coal Country, and Cranes of Potter. Jamie with Zach is really good too, though. Another great singer is William Beckmann. And the song 23 by Chayce Beckham is absolute country rock fire. Oh, and Koe Wetzel is the best of all if you want country rock. His album Hell Paso is a modern legend.
