Not watched yet, but my technique is wait for it to fire then make one sharp manoeuvre. It's unguided, so as long as you change your flight path to something other than what the guns predicted you should be safe.

Cap, I'd like to see some videos for SAM evasion (IR/Optical/Laser primarily) for helicopters (the KA-50 in particular). A version of this AAA vid for those platforms would be useful as well. Be aware that certain tanks have ATGMs that they will use on helicopters as well. I know that many of the later Russian/Soviet tanks can and do shoot me down with them before I can get into weapons range in the KA-50 (granted, I'm not particularly skilled with the KA-50 yet...).

The ATGMs are fairly easy to dodge if you see them coming, at least, since they aren't designed to turn fast enough to track an aircraft. Seeing them coming is another matter entirely... that's where I usually fail. :)

The 2 first runs: As you said: This is the way to do it, using the right tool and staying out of danger. This is what the members should always remember in the actual missions (how many A10s and Harriers have we seen be shot down because they should absolutely fly low and slow - still having Mavericks and bombs for stand off.

You used a “short controlled burst” method with the A10A, the F5 also needed that because the smoke deflectors, while saving your engines they also obscure your aiming immediately. BRRT!--adjust-BRRT!-adjust-BRRT!

Excellent video, as getting shot down by AAA is my #1 cause of death. Well, AAA causing fuel leaks is, lol. Too bad about the thumbnail, though. I was really looking forward to seeing that.

I don't want to be negative, but 80% of this was bad information. I don't want to write an essay, but here are few things: Yes, you fragged yourself in the viggen. You were way below the safe release altitude. Please refer to the viggen manuals. Your bombing with the f18 was fine. In the A-10, you do not want to fire a couple rounds at a time. A good couple second burst with PAC on will kill them in one run. Also, reatttacking from the same direction is wrong. In the av-8, your jinking was terrible. Rocking your wings back and forth does nothing if your flight path vector remains the same. You need to change your aircraft's flight path every few seconds. Wiggling around while traveling in the same line doesn't interfere with their aiming solution at all and you survive mostly because the AAA in DCS is very inaccurate. I appreciate your enthusiasm with quantity of videos, but you've given all these people bad information, so it would be good if you'd do some research before putting these videos out labeled as tutorials.

F-5 Gun sight depression was a 0 if I saw correctly - should be -12 or you 'll shoot long, right? Cap, you're an awesome virtual pilot, that makes stuff you do look easy but for a beginner / average guy it might not work out. A bit more research and less trial/ error style would be much appreciated.

If those were hi-drag bombs he would've been OK I think. You can pretty much drop those right on the deck. Would've killed himself if they were low-drags though.

To be fair, the gun in the F-5 is pretty terrible. Having the smoke obscure your vision when it's firing is just a plain bad design.
