at 8:45 the shot was hitting the engine block so the leading vehicle cant move anymore because the engine is destroyed. Its getting used very often at the german military because its way easier to shoot the engine then a person in a moving vehicle.

Especially if even if you hit the driver, it´s not necessarily taking him out. An engine on the other hand is pretty easy to make non funtional by shooting it with a big bullet.

The Camo is called Multitarn, it's in Service since 2020 but only for Special Forces. Pretty New, Flecktarn mixed with Multicam. The probably just wanted to show it off

the KSK has a HK416 as a standard rifle, but they have the oportunity to use any equipment they want. they can use different uniforms as well the KSK is specialised for a Subtropical climate like Jungle of Brasil or Panama or Somalia, Mali

Idk wich caliber the rifle has but one shot to the engine isnt gonna kill it. Especially with the radiator in front. I think u need at least a 50cal or a 20mm. Engines are very though man.

That camouflage is the new German "Multitarn", which is the german answer to Multicam. It is a lot lighter than traditional 5 colour (Woodland) Flecktarn, but greener than the 3 colour (desert) Flecktarn. Same as Multicam it is a jack of all trades but a master of none. Sure it's better in Woodland than a desert camouflage and it's better in the desert than a Woodland camouflage, but it won't beat a dedicated pattern. Unfortunately I haven't seen it personally, but from pictures from the field trials, it looks like it is pretty on par with Multicam in most places. In some it either beats Multicam, or is beaten by it. Same as Multicam it's most valuable uses are: 1. in Afghanistan, where you can get from the desert into woods within a few hours of driving and also other countries with dry vegetation but not completely desert. 2. On some supply officers desk, because now you only have to buy gear and clothing in one pattern instead of two. Unfortunately it isn't available for private purchase. Same with the new German snow camouflage. The backpack looks like a Tasmanian tiger 45 plus. Tasmanian Tiger makes a bunch of great backpacks and some really solid, but not super good tactical gear like plate carriers, Pouches, etc.

The screen that the snipers had basically gives you your team mates location tells you how far they are from eachother and many other stuff and drone footage i know the royal marines getting them but a phone version and the helicopter is NH90 i think most of the helicopter is made from airbus and used in alot of countries military and sf

The camo is called ‘Multitarn’ a Multicam version of the regular German Army Flecktarn, especially developed for the KSK. Word on the street is that the KSK is quite hesitant to wear it while on mission as they are easily identified as KSK as they are the only unit to wear it. It is however quite effective (one could say more effective) in the same environments as where Multicam is used. Would love to own some multitarn.

The Helicopter is an NH 90. And i am surprised they actually managed to find a flight worthy one. These Things don't have a good history. But i don't know if they finally mamaged to get all the kninks out of it. After the flight tests in 2010 the supervising panel of experts advised to "use other means of aerial transport whenever possible". In general this thing is to small and not rugged enough to deal with soldiers+equipment, or millitary applications in general.

The helo you asked about is the nh90, a solid machine now that its fixed. The sniper shot was a simulation of a shot at the Cars engine, Thats wy it was only one, in order to simulate the folowing aproach with the use of helos you saw next. Note that you dont see the special forces killing any one, meaning the point of this kinda of promotional video wasnt not so mutch to lool like they just kill everything i guess.

0:27 I am not sure the KSK would be doing that in a "normal" setting since it is part of the Bundeswehr, Germany's armed forces and any military deployment of the Bundeswehr has to be approved by the Bundestag (federal diet), the German parliament (think of it like the US House of Representatives or the UK House of Commons), so unless we are at war or part of a military operation they would probably send the GSG9, a special tactical unit of the German Federal Police instead like they did in 1977 in "Operation Feuerzauber" ("Operation Fire Spell") where they successfully rescued all passengers of a Lufthansa flight from Palma de Mallorca, Spain to Frankfurt, Germany which was hijacked by terrorist and flown to Mogadishu, Somalia.

If you see a full laser beam it is either post-production Hollywood shit... or there is a lot of dust in that atmosphere. Every particle of dust will reflect/distort that light, hence a beam. A real beam is improbable.

Thought that was an excellent video. Obviously a bit Hollywood, but I feel you were a bit harsh on the Camo. Yeah, it wasn't great in the daylight in the forests, but when the first team went it, o Thought the Camo was excellent for that building and the time of day it was. Obviously they didn't get much action from the terrorists they were after, but if I was one of they terrorists and seen all of them coming for me I would know that it was game over. No point in trying to fight them off. Also never got to see them rounding up the terrorists, but it was only 8mins long and with a hostage situation happening in your own country then I could definitely see them having the tools that they used easily available. New things like drones that the snipers were using just in case of any runners. Really good and would delight like to see more. Think it helped that I could understand most of what they were saying too.

Just a quick add-on: Inside Germany the KSK would not see counterterrorist action as barriers for army deployment in the inner state are high beyond helping in natural desaster case. Here, the GSG 9 or other special police force would take over. The intro said it was in a made up failed state.
