I was in the supermarket on the morning of Friday the 22nd and it was a zoo. My heart went out to the cashier ladies; they were working so hard. I don't know how they coped and I wish them a truly restful holday on Christmas Day. (The supermarket was so busy that there was a shortage of carts, something I've never seen before.)

I was at the store on Thursday the 21st, and it was a zoo then too. I was just doing my regular shopping after work. I already had my Christmas food shopping done (the week before---turkey was thawing in the fridge). I had to wait for a cart as well, and I used the self checkout instead of going through the cashier lines. I used to work in retail, and yep, it gets pretty hairy the days before Christmas. People won't learn not to wait till the last minute. I like to be prepared and done. I love to go watch people doing the last minute scramble. (Jan Griffiths).
