Although I’m not a member yet I have known of the book for some years(the time period in which he said is a fall away) but world was in Covid. The reason I didn’t pursue it at the time was because of issues with members and non members and it freaked me out. But I always watched general conference, read the bible and BoM as well as other faith based stuff. For a couple years I followed some what of a faith (again i have being doing this on my own since I have no family of any faith) which kept leading me back to this church. This difference is when I was much younger I allowed people of the both sides to decide my thoughts and choices because I was young and had no guidance. The pull towards the church is wild but the difference with only a few years is I am firm in my faith. His talk on praying in family was exactly what was needed. I hope to be able to become so strong in my faith now I am older and wiser. The world is at its worse and we should help each other and those not of faith but allow God to do the rest. We are only seed planters

Such an inspirational account of your faith journey. 🌄 Welcome home, friend. I'm so glad you are here and a part of the 'Family of Unshaken.' We are far from perfect, but we do have the same 'Father of our Salvation', Jesus Christ, and we love and trust in Him. May God Bless you and all of us as we seek to become His faithful and winsome seed-sewers. ❤

Thank you for sharing your experiences. In some ways they are similar to mine. I grew up mainly under the care of a widowed mother who professed not to believe in God because of the trials in life she'd experienced etc. But my older sister and I wanted to know if there was a God. We tried the Church of England for awhile for some guidance and enlightenment but were sadly dissapointed and the minister didn't even seem to want us there. We unsettled the choir boys. From about 17 I tried praying a kind of 'is there anyone out there?' sort of prayer. Also, which church should I go to. I had a very distinct impression that what I was looking for wasn't in 'any' of the churches I was aware of. Then I met a member of the LDS church where I was working who introduced me to her church. I soon realised that this was what I'd been praying to find. Inspite of opposition I was baptised age 17 in 1962. My sister followed 10 days later. We have always loved this gospel of Jesus Christ and our lives have been so blessed through striving to live it and serve others. I do hope you will accept the invitation and example of the Saviour to enter the waters of baptism and join with His covenant people. It is truly wonderful!

@ thank you for your comment from one English women to another. It has been very difficult for me too my mother even know is against all faith and I stay strong in my faith. I think for me being younger, no experience and in an age that shunned you to have any faith has been difficult. Social media has been a blessing and a curse so was the pandemic and I think this is why I was fighting for faith without a home. My home is the church. I tried CofE through the school i went too just as I looked into non denominational and others. But the lds church keeps bringing me back which is weird because in my town the nearest ward is 2 hrs away and temples are 10 hours on the other side of the country so there really wasn’t a push as much other than always watching GC thank you for your comment this is the confirmation I need to meet with the missionaries to whom I have their number :) great knowing there’s other UK Christian’s out there

@@AutumnAcorn Your truthful testimony is beautiful and moving. I joined the church in 1976. Sometimes the actions of others confused me, but I stayed active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of my firm belief in the Book of Mormon. Later, I realized that many people in and out of the church struggle to find truth, hope, and faith. None are perfect and all blunder occasionally and constantly. So, while I hope others will give my weirdness a little grace and acceptance, I must in return provide the same. It's the old way of removing the beam in my eye before attempting to remove the mote in someone else's eye. Accepting that a few members' actions may not gel with the gospel and non-members try to deride or dissuade my faith, I finally have peace. If I worry about my journey on the path instead of the perceptions or actions of others, my focus is correct and I have joy. Autumn Acorn, I pray that the Savior touches your heart and brings you hope, joy, peace, faith, grace, comfort, and strength. Have a beautiful day.

Many years ago when I was a coordinator at the LA Temple, I needed to call a second counselor. Every time I walked by a certain lady, I had the distinct impression that she was the one, but I answered the prompting with "She's brand new and I don't know her." This actually happened 3-4 times before I followed the prompting. I think Ammaron probably had the same type of prompting when he approached the 10 year old Mormon. It was God's choice. God knew who Mormon was and what he could accomplish. Ammaron acted in faith in God's decision. (I love your mom and hope she is doing OK)

So happy it's happy to be His Book 📖 Lovely, yet sad I remember way back in 1st Nephi he seen all the times and Mormons time and beyond. Then in another Prophet Telling his son that After Jesus Christ comes only not longer after the peace shall end and they shall end their selfs.700 years. First Helamam told his child and told him not to tell anyone ! What a burning hard thing to live out his life and hand off the plaits! And we come to Mormon and we can see both Him and his son Maroni continue to do positive things in this lives.@❤ 11:14

Brother Halverson, John Billings here. It has been a while since I have communicated with you. I am only one in a million who you have personally interacted with, of which I feel honored to have had a connection. I just listened to your conversation with pastor Jeff (of two monrhs ago), and it occurred to me the great diversity of those who will actually be caught up to be with Christ at his coming. It occurred to me that "love" truly is the answer. My covenants I have made are very important, and how I have loved will make all the difference. Thank you.

This video provoked me to cast my mind back to the time of my conversion 24 years ago. I decided to drive 1 hour south to the town where my biological family lived to tell them about Jesus. I brought my birth mother to a meeting to get baptized only to discover that she was in a relationship with a man and they had no intentions of getting married. I then went to talk to my 14 year old half sister and she was sitting in a circle with her friends smoking marijuana. I eventually had to leave because I couldn't stand the odour of the smoke. Next, I turned to a group of children around 10 years old playing out the front, possibly younger siblings of my half sister's friends. I took them fishing at the local jetty in the hope of telling them about Jesus. Word eventually got back to their parents, and they weren't happy with me!

So much sorrow, I feel for Mormon, but my sorrow is get also for ammaron. Imagine being the last in a long line of prophets going back to Alma the older. Neither your brother nor you had descendants that could be entrusted with the plates. As a father and grandfather i realize and sorrow in his pain.

You often talk of we who have children who are struggling but I have a daughter, who was once president of RS, YW and Primary, she 45, she has taken up residence with her family in the great and spacious building. She and her husband are like Korihor and trying to get others to lose their faith. I love them and we agreed to not discuss church. When the subject comes up she is absolutely hostile. It kills me inside. We are still a loving family but it’s very difficult.

It well may be that last attempt to help them was his way of having a sure witness that at judgement time they will know that the Lord indeed did feel after them but they would not.

Mormon had seen the depravity of his people, friends, and maybe relatives while in his youth. He recognized the Love of God was more powerful than the enticing of Satan. He had to have been proven and recognized as a leader in his early youth for so many to believe He could be their General and Prophet. He chose to follow the Holy Ghost, love and trust the Lord, and believe Heavenly Father would continue to guide and direct Him for a righteous purpose, even if the majority of his people were proud and unrighteous.

Dear members, I am living with my daughter and grandchildren and around others who don't care what people believe, used to believe in God, go to churches. Now she's a Witch. Moved me in ,I'm thinking she's just in another Church, and she tells me this news. I felt a knife in me and yes I have been hurt by one before, She sees the pain! Tells me that she's still does good only, just unanswered questions and answers about things went looking, found some in different places Wiccan Witches and other places. And her children 3 grandchildren believe in it,well 2 girls. The boy, just wants to be just open and wants to be open minded 🙄 Not happy. .. I continue with prayers 🙏 I'll not give up. 1:04:55

Could there be a parental aspect to Mormon’s “repentance”? In that he also does this to be there for Moroni and any other children he might have had? To protect them and be the last remaining influence for them in those last days, surrounded by wickedness from within and without? To be there to prepare Moroni for his coming role?

Thinking of Mormon being chosen at a young age to lead the Nephi armies and I also saw a picture of NFL coach Andy Reed at 13 years old. He was 2 ft taller than his fellow 13 year olds. Perhaps Mormon was also like that when compared to other Nephites.
