This just came up in my feed randomly. Ive been a pilot for 10 years now with a legacy carrier. this is my advice. Go to a part 141 school if you want to get all your ratings done as fast as possible. DO NOT GO TO ATP. FInd a local 141. if you go part 61, make sure you go to a good school but more importantly you use a good INSTRUTOR at the school. ask your instructor how many hours he has there is nothing worse than having your instructor leave at 1500 hours and you have to relearn an entire new instructor. that bond between student and teacher is super important. last advice; after every flight sit in a class room or car and journal all your flights so you don't forget anything. you learn fast and its easy to forget.

Wow I so appreciate all these advice!! I unfortunately couldn’t do part 141 as I do personal training as my part time, so I did go with part 61! But I did do A LOT of research and went with one that seemed the best. ATP was out the door after just 30 min of research 😂😂 but I wish I knew about instructor before I chose mine😅 she’s exactly at 1500 so she’s navigating reassigning me to another instructor that’s very good/similar. But I’ll def record and take notes every each session. Thank you!

Your finances are your business but I don't see why you don't continue as a flight attendant and fund your life and some of your education with your job? You've probably already figured out that you're going to need a Bachelors Degree to fly for airlines, right? This is good because a Part 141 aviation college/university is more economical than a separate flight school. Some colleges are much cheaper than others and airlines don't care which school you graduate from so choose a cheap one! Flying is the greatest thing in the world! Enjoy!

you dont need a bachlors and a part 141 school wont "count" as a bachelors. most part 141 schools will make you sign a contract saying that the school is your full time job. did you just make this entire comment up to sound smart?

I have a second part time job that has a more predictable schedule whereas being a flight attendant I would be on reserve a lot and couldn’t promise my days.
