I’ve ordered from Dickson’s for a few years and agree. My onions I started from seed got much bigger this year so I dumped Dicksons. Seed it is - broadcast a bunch of seeds in containers and gently pull them apart to plant. Super simple.

Checkout the MI gardener tips on growing onions. As a teenager he worked on an onion farm. I’m 50+ & learned more about growing onions in 15 mins than I did doing it solo all these years. Looks like you may have planted them a touch too deep
