I have the same problem with my 2 year old Daisy ! Now with my new kitten Lily ,I am training her to get used to the box.The box is always out and I encourage her to sleep in it as well. So far visits to the vet have been drama free !

A trick I learned from an antique dealer friend regarding cups and china wear to check for cracks. If you flick the edge of the cupboard or bowl with your finger and it goes 'ting' you should have no cracks. If it sounds dull and no ring to it then there is a crack somewhere. With your teapot, take off the lid and try it. Hairline cracks can sometimes be hard to see 👌

Good morning Iwan! I'm jealous of how well behaved Pumpkin and Mittens are getting ready for the vet and even there with strange smells. My sibling cats Max 🐈 and Molly 🐈‍⬛ need a calming Valerian pipette before we go to the vet. They won't get into their carriers, they will meow all the way to the vet like if they were being mistreated 😅, luckily the vet is on the street above mine, it takes me two minutes to get there, but it seems ages! 😂 They will hiss and growl at the vet and when they get back home they will disappear and will look at me mad like they would take my eyes off! They are very spiteful. They get quite stressed, but I also do. You are very lucky that Pumpkin and Mittens are so well behaved. I love the teapot. It's a pity there weren't any other pieces. Maybe sometime you will find some at a car boot sale. Have a great Sunday, whatever you are up to!

During firework night (normally firework fortnight where I live) I put both my cats in my bedroom curtains pulled lights left on & put the tv on quite loud. Fireworks have never bothered them by doing this. Love your vlogy vlogs xx

Pumpkin and Mittens did so well getting into their carriers imho. Congrats on that blanket! Being from the US, we are used to putting a mug in the microwave with a teabag to make tea. That lovely teapot looks like the lid handle may have real gold on it which would spark. That's my guess on why it was labelled "decorative". Gibson is pretty common here and they own Crockpot and Oster plus other brands. xxxxx

Morning Mr Carrington, yes I like the vloggy vlogs. All your videos are good though. The RL teapot May say ‘decor only’ because of making tea in it with boiling water may produce cracks in the china/porcelain. I have noticed on good quality china that that happens after using, and I have a hand me down dinner service from grandparents and beyond which has glazing marks all over with use (by them not me). Your kittens are amazing and so well behaved. It must be a frightening experience for them to be put in bags to travel, as they won’t know where they are going. You got some very good buys in this haul. Thanks for filming.

I cannot believe how easy it is to get your cats into the carriers! With my cat it's always mayhem and I have to trick her to catch her unawares and put her inside the carrier, while she puts up a fight, scratches and miowing, close the door quickly, it's very stressful!! Can you tell me more about those festive candles you have behind you? I'm not familiar with that tradition. Thank for the stroll around NH. Brings so many nice memories! x
