Great review! The Beatles have no rivals. No one had ever traveled the roads the Beatles created. All anyone else could do is just follow. You are in for the ride of your life with them. They did what they wanted, when they wanted, how they wanted, and it was all awesome! They never missed. They set the bar so high that it'll never be reached again, ever. All four pioneered how their instruments were played. As I've read many times over the years, "There are the Beatles, then there's everyone else". So true.

Beatles were great and same can be said about Pink Floyd, same time, actually, just as influential and ground breaking and long lasting. The thing that really boosted Beatles is they were the 1st rock band they let into the states. Start of the British Invasion.

Paul practically set a new bar for rock bassists, he was that good. I consider him one of the finest ever- along with Sting, Tal Wilkenfield (who played with Jeff beck), and JJ Bernel (of "The Stranglers"). His bass lines on the SGT PEPPER album seem especially amazing to me.

My mother made John Lennon’s, 1964 Rickenbacker Guitar. My mother... Dorothy J. Tandle was working at RIC back in February 1964. When Francis C. Hall got back from Miami, after talking to John, Paul and Ringo. F.C. Hall presented Lennon with a new 325 to replace his road weary 1958 one during the group's first trip to New York City. John used the new guitar on The Beatles second Sullivan appearance and on the group's subsequent tours and albums. My mother was asked to follow Lennon’s Custom guitar from start to finish. This was the Black & White semi-hollow bodied “Miami” model (serial number db122, d=1964, b=Feb.). She sanded the body, then worked on the neck & fret board, then she assembled the guitar after the finish was applied. She did all the work herself. She did the same for many custom orders at that time. She was trained in all areas except the wood shop and finishes. She did all the sanding, fret board assembly, and put all the other pieces on John Lennon’s Custom 325. After finishing the guitar, she gave it to the tuner/inspector. He asked my mother “Since you built it, what song would you like to hear?” My mother said…“Peanut Butter And Jelly”. That was a song she wrote and the tuner knew the cords. My mother sang the song as it was being played. SO… The very first song ever played on John Lennon’s famous 325 was a song my mother wrote about the messes I made as a child. There is a “GREEN” check mark inside the guitar. “Our guitars are so sexy because Dotty gives them the woman’s touch” - Ward Deaton GM at RIC My mom made virtually all the famous guitars of that era. Harrison & McGuinns 12 strings. Pete Townsend & John Entwistle and many others. In the seventies, I worked for “Fender Musical Instruments” I made a Fender Rhodes Electric Piano for John Lennon. The one used on “Walls and Bridges” My mother and myself are the only mother/son that both built an instrument for John Lennon. My mother made guitars for many famous Rockers, including the red guitar that was smashed by Peter Townsend of the WHO and is in the Rock HOF. I have built pianos for “You name it” just about everyone IE: “Pink Floyd” on “Dark Side Of The Moon” It is our little contribution to Classic Rock. I’m very proud of that fact.

That’s Paul McCartney on bass guitar. Along with Lennon’s vocals and George Harrison’s slide guitar, it just sounds great! They’re the best band on the planet 🌺✌️

You can never go wrong with any Beatle song. Did you know that the Beatles began in early to mid 60's as basically a "Boy's Band" with girls screaming at every movement they made. And within 4 years' time they were making music that will be studied centuries to come. If you have never heard or seen the transformation, try watching the movie Hard Day's Night and you will understand the impact, they made on the entertainment world. And as they say the rest is history. These songs are so epic and recorded and written over 50 years ago.

This is such an amazing sounding sound. Right from the start it just rocks. The bass, john’s voice, ringo’s drum and George’s rhythm guitar is all perfectly balanced and in sync. It just sounds amazing with headphones.

I love how with things like George's solos, it's just enough for what is needed and doesn't overpower. Ringo was a master of that throughout the whole run of the Beatles. Nearly all drummers are "look at me!" but he knew just what the songs needed. There is a video of the of drummers like Dave Grohl, Stewart Copeland, etc. praising him for this. The Beatles not only changed music superficially but they experimented and changed how it's made, recorded (multitracking, etc.), produced, and so much of the business (nobody released songs over 3 minutes before). But then, they also changed how people dressed and wore their hair, using music to influence politics, acceptance of drugs, Indian cultural influences, etc. Sure, some artists did a bit of those things before but they blew the doors off.

My Mother assembled Paul's Bass while working at Rickenbacker in 1964. John's 325-6 and his 325-12 and George's 360-12. Many other famous Ric's from that era.

Funny story about this song: John Lennon played a bit of another song to Ringo Starr, the Beatles' drummer, and said, "I want you to play the drums just like this!" Ringo was dumbfounded... "John, that's actually two drummers playing together." But Ringo more or less worked it out.

The song was covered on the Justice League movie soundtrack. Michael Jackson (1986) and Aerosmith (1979) both covered it, too! It's a timeless classic. And Ringo said it's his very favorite Beatles song!

this song is from Abbey Road... the last 2/3 of side 2 of that album has a famous medley of songs starting with You Never Give Me Your Money and going to the very end of the album, and that should be played together without interruption... I suggest that you check that out

When Ringo Starr was on the Stephen Colbert Late Show recently, he claimed that this was his favorite song, of the Beatles, as they were united again playing together, after some time of inter-Band problems (if you know the history of the Beatles, their time across 1968-early 1969 produced great music, but they didn't always all play on each track.

By 1969, Ringo would at times cover his tom tom drums with a sweater or a towel. This is what gives the drum roll on the second half of each musical bar (of the repeated refrain before each verse) that muffled sound. Great reaction JMBOY TV. Cheers, RNB

ps I'm a master knitter, I've won awards. I strongly suspect it was a parent or grandparent who masterminded the 4 headed sweater. That's not a slob job. It would have to be someone who knits sweaters in their sleep. They probably directed the girls doing the actual knitting, because that's a lot of hours.

Always nice to see young people reacting to the greatest band to ever do it. I'm wondering if you're listening through your headphones correctly. Every pair that I've owned since the seventies the cord coming out of the phones should be your left channel. If you have the left channel on your right ear then you're hearing anything in stereo completely out of phase and it makes a huge difference in what you're hearing. In reverse you're losing information, so check and if you listened to this song improperly give it another listen and you'll hear a big difference. I've pointed thus out to a few reactors and was glad to see in future reactions that they flipped their phones around. I'm not being critical but just trying to enhance what you're hearing if indeed you are listening in reverse. This song is from their last studio album that they recorded together "Abbey Road" and you should give it a listen to on your own time because it is a masterpiece of music. A must do from this record is George Harrison's "Here Comes The Sun" which is the most streamed Beatles song on Spotify with over 730 million plays at this time. If you can do this one you want to do the 2019 50th anniversary remix from their "Abbey Road" Lp and there's a very nice video with it. Anything you listen to from this Lp should be from the remix as it sounds incredible. Several other must listens from this album are Lennon's "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" McCartney's "Oh Darling" will blow your socks off and Harrison's "Something" which Frank Sinatra declared in 1970 to be the most beautiful love song written in the last 50 years. When Big Frank speaks, you listen. By the way, check out these two by Sinatra and don't laugh, I'm being dead ass serious ! "Fly Me To The Moon" and "My Way" Give these a listen and you'll see why Sinatra was "The King Of Cool" back in the day. I would love, love, too see your reactions to these two because I'm pretty damn sure that you would be blown away plus you would be introducing young people to great stuff that would never even be on their radar. With these two I don't think that you would have to worry about them being blocked. Hope too see these. Take Care and Peace

Difficult to decide which is the best or your personal favourite, bit like asking which is your favourite child (if you have any) . However Come Together for me brings out so many emotions and surprises that it just might be. It's a masterpiece, it's near perfect as a record. So funky, jazzy, and so clever all beautifully put together . Love it

JMBOY, Every song on Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The Beatles (The White Album), Abbey Road, and Let it Be are what I recommend, as well as Hey Jude, Lady Madonna, and the other songs released as singles. Their early stuff is great too, Hard Day's Night, Help!, etc.

Glad to see you enjoyed this one! This is the opening track to Abbey Road, their "final" album. Well, not really their final album, but it was recorded _after_ their last released album, and was probably intended to be their "goodbye" album. I've noticed that you haven't reacted to any songs that Paul's written yet. One of George's and two of John's, but not Paul. The song "Oh! Darling" is a great song, I suggest that one. It's a great introduction to his diverse voice, going from smooth to heavy in an instant. He's the one playing the bass on basically every song, with some exceptions. Happy listening!

Hopefully you haven't done this one yet. . .Old Brown Shoe, by the Beatles. A George Harrison song, what people don't get because the bass playing is SOOOOO good on this song, everyone thinks it's Paul. But, actually, it's GEORGE whose playing bass in THIS song; they did a live take where Paul is playing piano, the reason why George took the bass part.and he's behind Paul on bass playing, I can't hear it in this song! In fact, George and Paul would trade lead guitar duties as well, and Paul was a really gritty lead guitar player. Taxman by the Beatles is Paul on the lead guitar. George and Paul even did maybe the first ever dual lead guitar in a song on the Beatles "And Your Bird Can Sing - an absolutely amazing track! If you HAVE heard/reacted to Old Brown Shoe before, give it another listen with an ear to George's bass playing!
