Your vids are always islands of tranquility for me. So creative & boldly poetic, you often remind me of that playfulness within myself - which enjoys puttering around the house & yard. But here, you share the notion that we should all try to make the conscious effort to do this sprucing up of our spaces periodically has a powerful appeal. Seeing how you enjoy & appreciate the value of puttering around your kitchen as you gave your work/life space a fresh new look, enlivened my memory of what it felt like to just take a moment to simply enjoy the love I feel for being in my own home. In appreciation of that - there is a kind of new found energy - which might serve to get me up & going on so many projects I've put off. That seems a good place to start. I now feel that truth that if all my work is caught up, I won't feel I should put off the need to play, as I've got too much work to do. I enjoy how you create practical changes & also see with a photographer's eye, so create simply beautiful vignettes all around you. It makes your life appear loved. All the while, you are gently asserting for us to be sure to grasp that one of the things we could all be doing - if not doing already, is to remember to take the time to engage in loving just being in our homes, doing what we can do, with whatever we have to work with, to get to feel that simple enjoyment, while creating beauty in our lives.

Do you have a video on how you actually keep your butcher block clean and sanitize? I have a piece of butcher block that I use for cutting veg, but no matter how well I clean it the smell of onion and garlic seem to seep through it and cause it to have all my other veggies that I cut on there a hint of garlic or onion.

I use a little ajax cleaner on my wet sponge as I wipe my butcher block down and it removes the odor. The ajax is the powder stuff with bleach. Smells nice .
@nenemaria-cornfieldsgarden3 жыл бұрын
I use white vinegar and bicarb, just let it sit for a while and wipe well, it draws out the smells, plus vinegar is naturally antibacterial. Once the board is throughly dry it should really lessen the smell.

STUNNING Tablecloth at beginning of video! I have one very similar with same lacey edge all around but mine is white with baby blue embroidered dots and flowers. It is one of my favs of all time. LOVE the look and Idea of a living vine above my window!!!!! I used to do this with a very old houseplant. LOVE the hops over the other window! Best looks ever! Smart way to sew new curtains. I never would have thought of using that fabric type but great outcome! I don't sew! And I've never cooked Prosciutto, only as it comes pre-seasoned. But your meal was exquisite looking! BEST LOOKING TOMATO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT was the fruit you put in the bowl at end of video? Figs? I have a large fig tree but my figs have come and gone this year in NC but those looked like a picture, as my figs don't turn that purple. One of your best videos. Had everything!
