I admire anybody that can run the 400. I did the 100 and 200, but that 400 beat the living daylights out of me, just a different skill set.

And yet that leadoff runner for pink was next to last, she even got beat off the start line by girls who didn't have blocks. Hard to believe they only had 2 good runners (2 and4), that they wasted the gains of #2 at handoff area and were still victorious .

I’m upset about them not moving them up when the runners switch positions. Greater Houston was thrown off with the second to the third leg exchange. She moved up but the official made her go back. Which made her second leg partner run longer and over more.

For those unfamiliar with track, the official prevented the winning team from being disqualified. Outgoing runners are placed based on where the incoming teammate is at the 200m mark (which was 6th/7th place). The 2nd leg runner should've been looking for her teammate while closing in. The 3rd leg shouldve known to stay where she was placed. They could've won by more if they were coached a little better... with better race plans/strategies.

Exactly, someone needs to teach them the rules/etiquette of a 4x400m relay. I know they are kids but they need to learn from now. They wasted a lot of energy and time on legs 2 and 3. The anchor did a great job and as you said they would have won by more.
