Hi..black conservative woman here. I don't believe in canceling comedians. I absolutely love stand up. It's one of the things my (white) husband and I bonded over early in our relationship. I didn't personally laugh at the joke. But not because I was offended. It just wasn't that funny. LOL But the black women that are upset didn't like the joke because it leaned into the stereotype of black women being violent and difficult. Which obviously we all aren't.I think it's just people are tired of being the butt of jokes and once again black men not "defending them". Just my thoughts. It's more than women can't take a joke. Actually - UK black woman and ai wouldn’t vote for Kamala Harris nor Trump, either. I think, personally, British humour is quiet different to American humour as in most jokes in the UK don’t really discuss people’s physical characteristics but tell a story with the end of it including the joke. It also includes more sarcasm and irony. Besides this - I just think that the cultures are different as Americans are more likely, from what I see, base their humour on making racial stereotypes - funny or otherwise e.g. A good example of this are the movies White Chicks and the Rush Hour series - both of which I thoroughly enjoyed watching. I also don’t believe in cancel culture. However, when you say anything be it a racial inaccurate stereotype, you’re bound to get a reaction from the target audience that you were aiming for I.e. black women. And, as Americans have the first amendment and less censorship laws, people naturally are allowed to have a differing opnion to what you believe is comedic. One man’s funny is another man’s offence type of situation.

Where I live, it's the other way around. I am white and the minority. When we first moved here, we didn't have a car, I needed some groceries, and there is a little store on the corner a couple blocks away. I took my daughters and started to walk. I had a couple of different black people stop me and ask if I was looking for drugs. They actually said 'a little sump'n sump'n', and they could help me out. Then, a police officer stopped me and asked what my business was in this neighborhood, if I was looking for drugs. Cause usially that was the reason a white person would be in this neighborhood. A few years later, a non-white friend and I were pulled over by the task force and separated while they questioned us. I told them who I was and where I lived and that my friend was giving me a ride cause my car was broken down. The officer said the make, model, and color before I said it and then said, "Yeah, we know who you are and where you work, too." I was surprised! I was let go, but apparently, they had been watching my friend, and she was arrested. It happens on both sides of the aisle. I still live in the same neighborhood. Can't afford to live elsewhere. Im not treated equally or as a neighbor. Im reminded all the time that there is no 'privlage' here. People outside my neighborhood think I must be using cause I live here. I keep to myself. Im a widow, empty-nester, not on social security. I can't afford to move. Had my car stolen last year and the one I have now, someone cut all the hoses and wires on it. It's hard to find parts cause it's 24 years old.
