I was once a single mom, and would tell my son, "I don't care how big you get, I will jump off this couch& clothesline you!!!" He was never a behavioral problem, no issues in school, none of that foolishness. He KNEW, his momma wasn't having it! My baby boy's now a US Navy Sailor& an all around awesome young man!💙💛⚓😁 Funny story: My husband& other kids are at O'Hare Airport w/the oldest son before he left for A-School. There were hundreds of Sailors everywhere, and it's 3am. We're all exhausted, I'm trying to get my son's attention& let him know where we'd be sitting. I'm trying my best to be dignified, but my inner drill sergeant popped out. I bellowed (not yelled😳) my son's nickname. It's only a single letter, and let me tell you...I've never seen that many heads snap in my direction before😂😂😂 He promptly responds& I hear him say to his roomie, "Now do you see where I get my feistiness from?"😇🤣🤣🤣🤣

Adrian Blake-Williams RIGHT! A friend of mine has a child who acts just like this. I can’t take it, bcuz that’s not how I was raised. I would not even think about fixing my mouth to say that mess and get up in my mom’s face like Im big and bad. But she’s trying to reason with him and has never wanted his father to WHOOP his a**. So now he is so dog gone disrespectful. The last straw was when I heard him call his mother Bit**. I said, “Ohhhhh Nooooooo. Stop right there.” It was an instant reaction. His mom gives him everything under the sun (big mistake), he doesn’t know how to do anything at age 13, bcuz he was never made to. It’s because these parents don’t nip it from the get and then want to blame their behavior on being a teenager. No! The lil sucker was disrespectful at four years old. And they think he’s going to grow out of it. No...its going to get worse. And he’s going to get out in the world and he’s going to learn just how tough he’s not.

@michelec5224 Жыл бұрын
@@delana2842 exactly. That rule applied to parents, grandparents, aunt's, uncle's and most neighbors 😂😂. If you had a problem with an adult, you told your parent and they spoke to that adult. We didn't address adults crazy and I find myself now amazed when I see kids yelling at adults like they are grown too. I don't know what these new "parents" are doing but it's not going to lead to anything good.
@delana2842 Жыл бұрын
@@michelec5224, Absolutely! If the teacher, dog catcher, hobo on the corner or neighbor saw you doing something, they addressed it, and by the time you got home your parents, grand-parents, aunts/uncles, the whole clan knew about it and each one got a piece of you. They had a belt, ruler, twitch, shoe, hand, whatever at the ready. You knew better not to cross your elders. I still say, "Yes and No, ma'am and sir" to elders and authority. My Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmothers mastered the art of "The Look," enough said. These "new fangled parents" as my Mother would say, want to be their kids friend, party with and confide in them, and so on, then when the bottom falls out of the situation, they want to kill them. No, do it the way the Lord said to, and things will be fine. This does not mean you won't have problems, but the problems are minimized by being a parent and not a buddy. You are definitely correct on it never ending well, because we have seen it time and again, where the kids are talking back like the young girl in the video, hitting their parents and worse killing them. Folks are good about saying they going to raise their children differently than their parents, because they were "traumatized" by whippings. Yet, when some become parents and see just how hard parenting is and their parents knew what they were doing, they sing a very different tune.
@michelec5224 Жыл бұрын
@@delana2842 it's really sad now how much some parents want to be friends. They are doing their kids a disservice, you only get one mother and one father you get a ton of friends. I've never felt ALL kids have to be spanked but come on there are certain actions where it's definitely the answer and this video is the definition of those actions. I actually have a neighbor that has 5 kids and she's the "fun" mom that brags about being their friends however, 3 of her kids (11yo / 15yo / 16yo) are all on probation, smoke weed at home (with Mom) don't go to school unless the police show up. But she's SUPER proud of being their friends. The sad thing is she has a 5 and 3 year old and that's who I feel sad for. These kids think they are getting freedom and freedom is needed to an extent but too much just end with things like this video. They aren't gonna be good people and aren't going to have any self control. And the parents always act like they are doing it right. SMH
@delana2842 Жыл бұрын
@@michelec5224, I hate to hear this, but I am surprised the children have not been removed from the home due to truancy and her bad parenting. That "fun Mom" will only take her so far. She is setting her children up for failure and herself up for a future of heartache. She will find herself either in court or at the morgue, because these children will be problems for society instead of contributors to it. She is going to have many a sleepless night and as she ages she will be burdened with the terrible decisions she is made with these children. Truly sad.

Aaaah, as I sit here watching this lady get punked, I'm reminiscing about the good ol' days, when I was a wee lad, trying to immate my friend, talking back to his mom, hitting her back. I got upset one day and snatched away from my mother. She snatched me out of the car by my ankle and ... I just remember waking up. Don't really remember after getting snatched. Seriously I don't. But I learned don't talk back, respect grown folk and authority. Even in into my 40s when the Lord took her home she was always yes ma'am and no ma'am for me/us. Thanks Mother👍 . Ah yes, who can forget my dear ol' dad sneaking up catching me by surprise still up after I was told to go to bed with a gentle tap across my back with his whip. I do recall seeing only white from that pleasure stroke (I either went into the light or just overwhelmed by the burning sensation of that rubber alternator belt meeting my flesh🤔. Nevertheless, I got the lesson. Just do what you are told to do👍. Oh yeah when I called my sister the B-word not knowing he was sitting just inside the door. Whatever part I couldn't cover got beat right on the backdoor steps and ground. Lesson learned dad. Respect the women folk.👍 Oh and the one time I learned by observation rather than experience. I couldn't write yet but do recall learning that day as I diligently took notes while watching my older brother get the beating of all earthly beatings from dear ol' dad after he stole this lovely car from the H&R Green Stamps store. How he got a car that size out of the store without getting caught I will never know. But yes it was rule #3 Don't steal or I will beat your soul from your body. Rule #4 If stealing crosses your mind see rule #3. Thanks Dad for keeping me out jail! 👍 Thanks big brother for loving me sooo much you volunteered to be the object for my learning. You got saved and I learned to write! Love you Bro!❤️ I love my parents RIP Thanks for being my parents and not my friend.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Ah yes the good ol' days when there was a dividing line between parent and child.😁😁😁
