I met a similar guy to sweat pants great singer fella once (only his friends know he's a badass singer). I was 18, he was a big fat guy about 40. He was training me on my new job and we were out driving having a good conversation about music, the stuff I play, experience, what I was into. He told me about some intricacies of opera singing after I admitted to having no interest when he asked me if i liked it. As the conversation went on, he asked if I minded if he were to smoke some weed...after realizing this wasn't him busting me (cus he whipped out a half smoked joint basically as he asked) we proceeded to smoke it. I started asking him questions about his love of Opera singing and he told me about his dreams of being one and was clearly stoked that this kid was taking an interest in the style. The next thing I know, he busts it out. It was incredible, I almost cried. We're talking got talent golden buzzer Opera singing in a falling apart ford f150 from a broke forty year old dude with the voice of an angel. One of the most beautiful voices I've heard to this day (almost forty myself now). Everyone has something like that inside themselves, even if they don't realize it and most don't. Be kind. Not just to others, you to. We're all children who want to love and be loved. Now I'm waxing philosophical...much love y'all.

spot on with the pot blockers... i'm a big listener who's very concerned with compassion and kindness. my patience is strained to the breaking point with these people. i have a friend who regularly talks about how each piece of hardware on a pc works for hours on end, without a break in the wall. he doesn't notice me rubbing my eyes/ my whole head and that i'm quietly saying, "man i have the worst headache (that wasn't there prior to you talking)." eventually, i have to shout out, "WHELP! i guess i'm going to go pass out (now that my primary buzz is gone.)" i usually go to my house and sit reeling from the trauma for a few minutes afterwards...

Why?
@ForOrAgainstUs3 жыл бұрын
@@arlynsmith07 because when you fuck up that bad, if you can't find the humor in it, it's going to eat you up inside. It's all anyone thinks about, and if he allowed people to make fun of him for it, he could get past it. The only way to do this is to do a comedy bit on it.
@tobymcgroby89673 жыл бұрын
@@ForOrAgainstUs but he's been told countless times not to try to profit off that lie, for example making it a stand up story. It's too offensive to people who had their lives destroyed by 9/11 He's probably dying to make a stand up bit about it but he can't
@ForOrAgainstUs3 жыл бұрын
@@tobymcgroby8967 that SUUUUUUCKS!!!! OK, I appreciate it. I lost hope but I appreciate it. Thank you.
@tobymcgroby89673 жыл бұрын
@@ForOrAgainstUs yeah exactly... I was hoping to find a stand up set about it all, but nope. So I watched his interview with Howard Stern where he comes clean about it, as awkward as it was, it made sense. Your initial comment was spot on by the way, I think everything you said is 100% true. If you can't find humor in your past mistakes it'll keep festering.. Douchechills for example. When I think of all those coma-inducing douchechill memories in my past, I want to just walk into traffic lol... But when I finally ran into & hung out with the people involved in those memories, I made an effort to bring it up, joke about it, talk about how embarrassing it is etc. & they laugh with me, we move on & it disappears from the douchechill vault. If Steve Rannazzisi could address it with humor or make a stand up bit out of it, he'd absolutely feel better. I think you're 100% correct. But unfortunately, he was told by the people that were truly ruined by 9/11, to never even dare to try to make money off it, even as a stand up story. It makes sense, if you put yourself in their shoes, hearing Steve Rannazzisi do a full stand up special centering around that would be enraging... "He lied about it, & now he's profiting off the lie, while the rest of us are forever changed for the worse"
