this is a bit OT but my dad had a massive cardiac arrest (followed two weeks later by a "sudden death event" - i.e., when you drop over dead but then someone manages to get your heart re-started). he was 54. (he beat every statistic bc he came out the other side "not infirm" and - for the sudden death - not mentally impaired.) his previous life was over - and that took a bit to adjust to - but he had another 20 yrs that were (per him) FAR more full of family (10 grandbabies), travel that my folks wouldn't have taken, and (again, per him) wondrously more valuable. I genuinely hope she finds what else can give life value. that isn't snark. (I just don't know how to put it.)

Christopher Martin she hasn't accomplished any major success in her life she is much better known for her lies than her truths. as a lawyer she defended a rapist whose semen was on the victims underwear in order to get those results though the scientist had to cut the piece with the seamen off for testing and it was destroyed in the process but they could not repeat the process. Hillary held up the underwear with the square cut out and said "there's no seamen on here the victim is lying" and she got the rapist free under that logic all she cared about was winning the case right or wrong had nothing to do with it. as a lawyer she was also initially on the Watergate board but was expelled because she was accused of tampering with evidence by her boss who was appalled at her "character" and summed her up as a liar. as secretary of state she refused to send added security to the Benghazi consulate resulting in the deaths of 4 Americans including an ambassador she refused to take responsibility or even apologize. as senator she voted for the Iraq war and had a large number of absences from key senate meetings that would go to show she didn't care what laws were being passed she cared more about her own free time.

***** Colbert does skits and sketches, but mostly those are not in the form of an interview. It is not compareable to "usual" it is a joke, relating to his "republican" comedy character. It is something special, and yes she is not a comedian, but why is it bad or worse? it is completely different. maybe she will come again for a normal interview. This is why Trump won... I love this show, but, you've got the 1% parading as the "average American" while they brag about all the people they literally both know. Money. Big, big money. This isn't merry old England. We don't have royal families. Our history books shouldn't devolve into Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton.... all because they made connections and money. Also, here they are flogging their books and at the end, we learn this is basically a dull campaign ad. At least Obama let the comedians do their thing and held nothing back when he did "Between Two Ferns". If you want to win over Americans, leave out the real opinions... when Colbert turns to the camera and breaks the 4th wall as if he's just proven to "everyone" who doesn't like Trump (not his audience) to vote for Hilary Clinton--someone with 100% name recognition and frankly, policy recognition. I didn't vote for Trump. I miss this show. My point is simply that this fawning over Hilary Clinton is an embarrassment to this shows legacy and shows just how worried the 1% (both Colbert and Clinton) were that Donald Trump win. Weak stuff. Too thin. Worst of material. That said, I will always try and add to any comment my heartfelt and sincere thanks to Mr. Colbert, his staff, writers, producer Paul Dano... hey wait a second... I loved this show. You all worked very hard to put together a brilliant show that felt as real as O'Reilly but mocked him and his ilk so mercilessly their kind has been expose for what they were. Perverts. Not the same reason you had. But, common ground. We have a right to free speech. Colbert, you are a genius of improv and I have no idea how you stayed in character for so many great interviews. This just wasn't one of them.

Trump is a business man at heart. He has both donated and sided with both Dems and Reps to get what he needed for his business. I'd like to see that same strategy for getting this country back on track. Politics aside, a good president does what's best for the US first, period. Starting in the first Clinton administration through Bush until now, presidents have done what's best for everyone BUT the US and that needs to change ASAP if we're to have a country left anymore. Lastly, with the Media covering Hillary nonstop and with more super delegates on her side, it's doubtful he'll get the votes to win the upcoming primaries. Look up the electoral college and that will paint a better picture of the entire process.
