Their power rings are limited only by the users imagination and has almost no limitations since rebirth when the yellow impurity was removed and the guardians removed the rule that prevented the rings from removing ppl from the census. It is also capable of detecting life itself meaning invisibility doesn't work on it. N2M that the green lantern corp has bested anti-monitor who is completely immortal and invulnerable and whos power is near darkseid levels. Finally The Lantern Planet of Oa contains a prison facility capable of holding millions of different alien species with varying powers and abilities. And this isn't arkham where ppl break out every other week. This place legit. In short, one Green Lantern could roll in, hover just beneath the stratosphere, locate sauron with his rings target locator. Trap sauron in an indestructible light bubble, and drag him across tge universe to a high tech prison cell on Oa. Or Yeet Sauron into the sun. It's no contest. Sauron is out of his league.

@ my first Superman was a black and white TV series that was filmed in the mid 40’s. With Clark Kent changing on a phone booth. Then dashing out and flying to save the day. He committed self murder, because he was stereo typed, and when the show ended, he was never able to get another acting role.

While I love DC characters, they are way too reliant in their big hitters. They finally expanded their universe, but still tied it way too heavily to the big 7. I wish they would create new blood, that is completely unrelated to those characters. I like marvels story telling better because they have more heroes and villains that are in story universes all their own. DC is afraid to risk it.

DC makes far better comics and animated stuff as a general rule (I prefer the more adult, darker themes), but goddamn they can't do live action to save their lives. That's probably what gives DC such a bad name, since a large number of people with opinions on this have never read any of the comics or watched the animated shows/movies DC puts out.

Agreed considering they play the darker and more realistic elements better. Plus they literally look like gods and titans in battle. Flash looks like fucking hermes running and fighting other speedsters. Even green arrow and batman fight titans even though they are just humans.

When it comes to Justice League vs Avengers, Marvel is far better but for single movies I like Aquaman, The Dark knight, Joker. The box office of the MCU is higher than that of DC because marvel does great in team

The lantern charges the ring with energy, but the corps member's willpower is what guides that energy. It's potency is directly tied to it's user, which is why only the most strong-willed beings are chosen for the corps.

Gotta admit I'm not too hot on this new style of thumbnails. I'm sure Fluffy is working with people who know what they're doing, and I'm really just some random on the internet. But something about the thumbnails feel so basic and generic and almost amateurish in a way. It just doesn't work in my opinion.

I agree, I liked the older thumbnail style which was very simple, yet got the job done. His most viewed content always has a simple thumbnail, the new ones they’re doing with editing in a background and all that is very messy.

The GL comics from the 80s were frickin cool. Epic space battles with tons of crazy technology and aliens. Movies and tv never came close to capturing it's potential, even in the Justice League cartoon.

Personally, I just like Batman as a character and Gotham City as a setting. I kind of like all of the dark, gothic stuff and the literally insane villains. But I am not going to start a fight over it or about whether DC or Marvel is better. I will leave that to the Simpsons' Comic Book Guy clones. 😄 It's only entertainment to my son and me.

Batman isn't a hero at all. He breaks more laws in a single night than most crooks do in a month. He regularly trespasses, breaks into private property, interferes with police business, takes evidence from crime scenes, commits assault and battery on countless citizens, kidnaps them (tying them up or whisking them to a rooftop to force a confession out of them). All while wearing a mask because he knows he's breaking the law. Regular crimefighters (police) don't fear reprisal because they have the legal right to fight crime. Vigilantes aren't heroes. Heroes rescue people from disasters like Superman does. He does his best to obey the law at all times.

People hate Superman more than they do Batman. Batman does more to stop crime in one night than most police forces can do in months. He even works with the police sometimes. Superman is an alien with unlimited power that everyone hates because his battles cause so much collateral damage. A good amount of his world hates him simply because they think he has a secret motive when in reality he just wants to help.

Besides, it's deeds that make a hero, not popularity. Just look at real life villains like Turmp or Musk. Both frauds and criminals, yet inexplicably worshipped by millions.

That's because they based Batman on 1930s pulp magazine characters, like the Shadow, when they created Bats back in 1939. Bats used to carry a gun and kill people and monsters regularly, but they sort of cleaned him up after they added Robin as a sidekick because it was kind of weird having some kid's adoptive father taking him along on his nightly killing sprees against criminals. 😆 But, yeah, a lot of those pulp vigilantes were more like antiheroes, because they had brutal methods and murdered a lot of their criminal foes. It's just that the criminals in the pulps tended to be homicidal maniacs with innocent civilians and so were a lot worse than the heroes/antiheroes who were fighting them.

There's a comic where it's revealed that everything that happens in "Batman's" life was just a hallucination of Bruce Wayne. He went in an asylum after his parents died and all villains he faced as Batman was just nurses and doctors. That makes A LOT more sense consider how he pulled up with Superman and actually surviving Dark Seid's attacks.

They're both great. DC's big characters tend to be iconic. A modern pantheon of Greek gods. Simple, elemental. Aqua Man. Super Man. Wonder Woman: Posiedon. Hercules. Athena. Denizons of the mythical lands of Metropolis, Gotham, or Coast City. Epitomes of virtue to inspire us. Marvels mutants and brawlers are the punk misfits. Flawed. Grounded. Complex. Walking among us in New York or San Francisco. Sympathetic outcasts to relate to. Both have their place.
