The end of the dead hand 2 was awesome- I’m a fan of Kyle Higgins- loved Hadrian’s Wall which is why I grabbed the dead hand - I’m going to track his other stuff down- have always enjoyed your videos btw and u got one nice wall of books as a backdrop!

Also I see you have the Invisibles hardcovers. I recently read the first 2 books and I’m still not really enjoying it. Just wondering that are your thoughts on the series?

I have stopped reading around the end of the second volume, ha! But definitely plan to finish it. I can see that it's a bit of a tour de force, but I liked it for its unique concept.

Walt's Comic Book Channel haha.Yeah the concept is what intrigued me to check it out, but like most of Grant Morrison’s work I either really enjoy it or don’t lol

Yeah, sometimes he's relying too much on meta-concepts. You eiether get it and want to move on or you don't and don#t want to waste your time anymore ;) I'm afraid he's not always great with emotional depth and character development, which is the main thing to attract readers for long periods of time. Hickman has the same "problem" imho. But when those guys hit the sweet-spot, it delivers a story (punch) like nobody else can.

Walt's Comic Book Channel you hit the nail on the head. I’m definitely more of character driven story kind of guy. That’s probably why I loved Happy by Morrison. Hickman is another writer that Im not the biggest fan of. I read the first 3 trades of East Of West and just couldn’t get into it. I’ve heard his Avengers run is pretty good though.

Nice to see you in my timeline again! Seems like you're sick of the mainstream books. Maybe you add a little bit independent to spice it up. I just ordered yesterday the two eisner nominated single issues from ShortBox Comics along with one other. 'What is Left' by Rosemarie Valero and 'Barbara' by Nicole Miles.
