Man Superior Spider-Man had a lot of potential. I hope his story gets picked up again. It’s fun seeing Otto still be an arrogant jerk but use it for good.

It wouldn’t work they fucked everything up too much making auto make a deal with Satan to be back to life and the whole superior octopus storyline messes with the whole antihero vibe but he had The best way that he could work is introducing him from her different universe where Peter never got his body back I’m having him be a recurring character in the spider verse

I think he did later on but more less because of his actions and not his speech patterns

Ye I always wonder about accents in body swap plots. Idk why but I always imagine when someone with an accent gets transferred into body that’s not theirs, only the inflictions and speech patterns carry over but not the accent itself (aka moreso the WAY someone TALKS, not sounds) I know and a dabble a bit in voice acting but I’m no expert on linguistics or vocal cords and how accents develop, but I swear I always imagined those things would be separate due to accents changing subtly over time out of shift from the environment, so that in a completely new body, things like speech patterns would remain but no accent due to everything mostly being reset to 0 and now inhabiting new vocal cords. But obviously we’re bringing fantasy magic into real world logic and I ain’t an expert on either Not quite the same situation at ALL, but I guess I imagined it like if a smoker swapped with a body that wasn’t. The lungs and cords aren’t fried, so in this other body, they wouldn’t still have the raspy, gravelly voice anymore. I imagine they’d probably start out instinctually forcing themself to do things like talk fast or slow and then follow it with a short pause, only for them to remember they don’t need to do that anymore and their body slowly adapt and adjust out of it to the point where their inflictions align more with the smokers, but if they didn’t have lung damage...but like... In the other body??? It’s just an interesting thing to think about and I wonder if anyone else ever interprets this concept that sorta way

I guess in simple terms I just imagined if a British guy swapped with a body that’s not from America, the American body doesn’t suddenly have a British accent or even a transatlantic one. They just speak with the exact same tones, patterns and inflictions a guy from England would, but with an American accent. So slang shorthand words like “innit” are still used but “Buh-uH-wauh-uH” just becomes bottle of water if that makes sense. And they talk quieter and such.

@@theradionicrevival8068 that is definitely an important aspect to think about when voicing such a character. And in this situation especially since Otto has been Spider-Man for a while and almost grown a new personality all together. But really insightful thoughts that are highly appreciated 👍
