Green Goblin immediately assuming Spider-Man died with no evidence other than that he fell makes so much sense in hindsight after his whole "the shock of falling will kill you instantly!" thing on the bridge
@tjjordan42074 жыл бұрын
Here’s my defense of the Green Goblin’s monologue about how Gwen died: When he was shooting, “Fool, she was dead before she your webbing reached her”, what he (mainly the writer) meant was that the moment she went over the edge the speed of her falling was her doom. It didn’t matter if his web reached her or not, either the impact of hitting the water would have killed her or the sudden stop by the webbing would have. As for why the Green Goblin would have shouted this, outside of the writer hoping to explain this, it was to make Spider-Man feel far more terrible in that no matter what he did she was going to die. Though I do agree that him shouting this only makes him more guilty because he caused her to go over the edge in the first place.

1:03:42 he's fighting like an uncaged animal. I love that. I never get the chance to expound on this so i'll take my shot. In a lot of the comics spider-man doesnt get his just do when it comes to pure raw strength. Is he as strong as thor? Not even close. Hulk? Never. He's not even as strong as a basic iron man armor but spider-man is no slouch he's in the 20 ton range at the most. This is also a reason i believe king pin should strictly be a daredevil villian. They kill me when spider-man has serious toe to toe fights with wilson fisk just because he's big and lifts weights. I scream bullshit everytime!!!! 3 times when spider-man true strength gets a worthy reference 1. A daredevil comic when spiderman confronts matt at his apartment in his inner thoughts matt says something to the effect of "theres a raging hearbeat in my presence. His muscles are like steel. He's pure power and doesn't even know it." 2.(My favorite and also the appeal of the superior spider-man books for me.) Superior spider-man is having a routine tussle with the vulture. The vulture is talking shit when superior spider-man has a cool ass line where he says "i'm not going to play with you when i have arms that have traded blows with the hulk. 3. Superior Spider-man owns wolverine basically Check out weathersby the savage reacts

Probably because of the same reason Jason Todd never appeared in DCAU despite Batman beyond: return of the Joker having plenty death in the family references. The character wasn’t relevant in the zeitgeist at the point. It was just a footnote in the nonexistent at the time wiki page.
