I never understood how Mysterio was able to so easily trick Logan into killing the X-Men. Wolverine has Incredible level hearing and even greater level smell. He should have picked up Mysterio coming a mile away. I hate when comics delve into multi-verse retcon bs. Why can't a story just consist with a start and finish contained in its own world. Until the next new issue with its own new cannon. The second I see 2 or more spidermen in one strip, I usually lose interest. But I guess that is personal gripe.

One of the things that I don't understand behind Old Man Logan is this, how did 50+ years age wolverine so much? He's been alive for over a decade and due to his healing factor has been kept young and at the peak of his performance. Maybe I'm confusing his "origin" stories, but its almost to the point that Logan was designed to be imortal or damn near close to it. Another thing that didn't really make a whole lot of sense to me is with the canon "death" of Wolverine... "Pure" Adamantium is supposed to be the strongest metal outside of magically infused Uru metal from Asgard... yet Magneto is able to remove Wolverines adamantium that has been bonded to his bones. Following that line of logic... Wouldn't Magneto just be able to remove the adamantium that is covering him, and then his healing factor kick in again and have him come back? Yay comics and thier physic's breaking inconsistencies!
@httohot8 жыл бұрын
I dont see why his healing factor ever stopped even in adamantium. I feel like hes still alive under all that metal. They just have to figure a way to get him out

PFFFFFFFFFF HAHAHAHAHAHA. Look at his fights with Scott alone. Even in instances where he doesn't give a flying flip if he kills him he still has trouble with Cyclops. You're going to tell me 40 Xmen couldn't even contain him? Come on.......

@Atro7858 жыл бұрын
Brando Guzman I know lol. I know. That is comics. Sometimes though there's just too much asked of my suspension of disbelief. And that's coming from a guy who's favorite characters are ridiculously powerful and loves the crazy cosmic stories involving Galactus, Silver Surfer, The New Gods, etc. But there's still a baseline that runs through those. For example, Captain America can't win a fight against Galactus by punching him in the face. This would just be too jarring for me personally to read I think.
@Peecamarke8 жыл бұрын
you know how comicbooks are dude? Deadpool kills the marvel universe is a title, so is punisher kills the marvel universe. Anywhoo, I don't think the audacity of wolverine killing off the X-Men is the point. like, I don't think the story was written for the reader to focus the fight in the beginning of the issue but more so the idea of Wolverine's attributes killing off his closest loved ones as a reason for why he doesn't pop his claws and them being the X-Men tops it off lol
@Atro7858 жыл бұрын
I get that. The two titles you mentioned though were essentially jokes done for fun. I realize it's a McGuffen that allows them to set up the story. But I watched a couple more minutes and got to the part where he kills the hulk and again....it's just kind of ridiculous. I understand that established power levels are not the point of the story and it's strictly a character driven story, but it's hard for me to make that kind of separation. I can't get into it because it's so intentionally ignorant of other established facts within the universe. Personally it also looks to be far too violent for my personal tastes in enjoying it, but that's neither here nor there. Just not for me.
@Y2JLionHeart8 жыл бұрын
Atro785 Yeah, all these sorts of titles involve a lot of suspension of disbelieve...and alcohol or whatever. Once you get past that shit, good writing should make the story worth it.

The only problem I had with that book is wolverine should have never been able to kill the hulk like that. Hulk's healing factor is far greater than wolverines. I could see if he cut off his head or something

@speccwolf8 жыл бұрын
I just thought Logans smell skill was extra extraordinary, a superpower in its own.
@d.aardent93828 жыл бұрын
Yah exactly...because scent molecules cannot be hidden when someone has the sense of smell of a canine or at least has 100's times more olfactory receptors than a normal human and can smell at parts per billion or parts per trillion of a substance. Mysterio couldnt completely alter a person's scent or the scents of the objects they wear. He is more into visual and mental illusions. Each character would have a particular trace material that Logan would key onto to recognize them, such as one time he tracked some mutants to and then through a teleportation portal to another place on the other side of the planet or like when he recognizes when people he cannot see in a building are friends or foes. So I find the whole premise of Logan being tricked into hurting the Xmen as extremely stupid and anyway I dont think he would be able to overpower all of them together anyway,not from the reality established in historical canon of stories Ive read my whole life. Logan gets presented in such a wide difference in abilities though through the years, for a long time he would always seem to get blasted away and knocked out by some baddie so easily as he had to wait to recover from his injuries, in the old days of the Xmen comics he just didnt recover instantly from wounds,as they seem to portray him in recent times. He could take a lot of injury and damage but he could keep on going due to his fortitude and his body would begin healing but it took some time to heal serious wounds. He even got killed one time in a storyline by decapitation AND in an 1990's Apocalypse ruled the future timeline he lost his hand and had a blade or hook prosthesis AND then in the first early Trask and Sentinels storylines from the 1980's XMen comic series,where they introduced one of the first future timeline stories and Jean Grey's daughter crossed over into the past, he got completely incinerated by a sentinel and all that was left was his skeleton. lol He used to be portrayed as having a definite limit to his healing factor's ability as was written in the Marvel Universe directory of characters "back in the day."
