The Death/Thanos "relationship" always fascinated me. They act like this here, then Death seemingly embraces him at the end of Annihilation. Later making him immune to Death so they can never be together and treating him like trash again at the end of Thanos Imperative. Makes you feel sorry for the big guy really, although he is as crazy as a bag of ferrets.

Have you read Thanos Rising? In my opinion it's one of the better Thanos stories out there. It shows Thanos dealing with death at an early age and his rise to power in the galaxy.

And the only reason the living tribunal didn't step in is because thanos only wanted to replace the role of eternity in the universe, not destroy it. Living tribunal about what is right?Hell no, he keeps the good and the evil coexist, never letting one surpass the other, he just maintain universe balanced.

I agree! It's not about good or evil, the cosmic entities don't think on a human, skrull, kree or shi' ar level they are way beyond us. The really only think of them selves and about there own survival! Like Rob said this was a trial that eternity call forth to really protect himself with out real concern for anyone else! And his act of self preservation failed in the sense that now eternity has to fight thanos man up or lose his place of importance and power. It's pretty simple and deep at the same time! Lol

Amber Slahlize Especially after everything that happened in "Civil War". To reunite them all, particularly Cap and Tony...and then to have them die fighting Thanos would be absolutely genius storytelling. It would break the hearts of MCU film fans like myself, but I'd appreciate the film greatly for not holding back and showing how selfless and defiant these heroes are even in the face of total annihilation. This sacrificial lamb battle would throw general audiences off the scent of the typical Marvel film and would make INFINITY WAR a very unique film in the genre.

Cullison Mason Warlock and The Infinity Watch is a decent story but it just picks up with what happens at the Infinity Gauntlet ends. The story is about a loose superhero team with each member possessing one of the infinity gems. After that, anything 90's X-Men is good lol.

It is pretty transparent that these aren't at all the best characters to deal with the situation, they are just the most popular characters that Marvel has. Seriously-- why would you bring Wolverine, Spider-Man and Cyclops to fight something like Thanos? Not Magneto or Electro or Phoenix or Ghost Rider... seriously, even the greedy ones can kind of be trusted with a mission where "if you lose, there is no more universe." I guess we should count ourselves lucky they didn't pass off real street-level thug types like Punisher, Ironfist and Daredevil as the best force to fight Thanos.
