@@fandomlover73 so, if you're actually considering it, then I'd suggest first crossing the border to Canada. Then go to the far North and then east and cross the Canadian-Danish border into Greenland (make sure to wear *very* warm clothes). Cross Greenland until you reach the east coast of Greenland. Then, you should first swim to Iceland. If you somehow didn't drown, then consider spending a week in Reykjavik, probably a cool place, Iceland is the only country that doesn't have mosquitoes. Then, try swimming south-east towards the Faeroe Islands (a group of islands between Iceland and Scottland, governed by Denmark) and maybe spend a week in the capital, Tórshavn. After you've recovered for the second time from almost getting hypothermia while also almost drowning, swim further south towards Shetland (part of Scottland, so you're almost there) and spend a week in Lerwick to recover from almost dying for the third time in a month. Then, quickly swim over to Scottland. Voilà, you're on Great Britain. Hope this helps.

Fun fact about autism and being trans - according to some studies autistic individuals are more likely to be trans/nonbinary cos we don't get social norms and just why gender is. I've read a book that was like made from talks with autistic afab people and majority of them said they either don't care about gender at all, or they don't even feel human sometimes so. It actually made me quit questioning of I was nonbinary because yeah it seems its common in people with brain like mine
@thundertooth2 ай бұрын
Nah, this isn't quite true. Yes, there is an overlap within trans and autistic people but not because of the 'not getting social norms' thing. Trans people are born trans and autistic people are born autistic, so if a person is both of them they must have been born as both. It's not entirely clear why there is an overlap but it has to be neurological/ not because of society. I'm sure this wasn't your intention but the way you phrase it does kinda come across as being autistic makes you automatically trans which ist just false.
@shirokara2172 ай бұрын
@@thundertooth wdym I literally said "more likely to be". Maybe it wasn't phrased the best since I am not using english everyday - it made sense to me - but in no way I said that is makes you trans or otherwise. Yes, there are trans people who are not autistic and cis people who are BUT it does overlap a lot and that was my point! Its the same as "oh, having autism makes it more likely to have ADHD" but we all understand one doesn't cause the other yet it’s true for up to 70%. I just used an info from a book written by a professional.
@george901862 ай бұрын
so true
@0olong2 ай бұрын
It's also very possible that autistic people just have less patience for things that don't make sense, or feel incongruent!
@shirokara2172 ай бұрын
@@0olong Yeah another thing I've read once, suggested that the % of trans people may be similar in both neurotypical and naurodivergent BUT people on the spectrum are already more likely to question things and go against social norms so more of them realize they are trans and will seek help in this area contrary to neurotypicals who tend to conform a lot more.

The thing about being raised as a girl (I'm nonbinary btw, not a girl) and being taught early in life to be sweet and prioritize other's comfort makes so much sense! I feel like within that, there is this fear of being a burden to other people that makes a mask develop quickly and makes everyday struggles invisible to other people. I have trouble with sounds and textures, but it isn't obvious to other people that I struggle with those. People are usually surprised by the issues I have when they come up in conversations. Stuff like going wash my hands real quick or drenching them in hand sanitizer after cleaning sweaty ankle weights, doing stuff on the other side of the gym when someone's hearing aid is buzzing, checking connections in wires or settings on machines go unnoticed until I say something. I'm quiet to the point that even my footsteps and physical presence go unnoticed sometimes, so the weird things I do also tend to go unnoticed. I'm also usually the only one who hears the noises that give me headaches or increase my anxiety. I can't stay long in most stores because I get overwhelmed by the lights and noise, but if I'm with someone, I am comfortable putting in earbuds and can stay longer. (I don't use earbuds in public by myself to be aware of my surroundings.) There just seems to be a lot of things that contribute to my struggles being invisible, so there were never concerns about getting checked for anything growning up. (And the lack of concern for those things growing up makes me feel too guilty to self diagnose) This isn't related to the gender I was raised as, but I think it still relates to how struggles can be invisible to others. I've gotten braver in the past few years about mentioning sounds. My boss thinks it's cool that I can hear things most people can't, and it actually came in handy a few times (mostly figuring out things were breaking, not plugged in right, or recognizing patients having heart monitors or other related devices). Other people usually only get to see the ability to hear those noises as useful or "cool," almost like a superpower, so the struggle with sounds is invisible to them. I won't lie. I think it's pretty cool too sometimes, but not when it physically puts me into a fight or flight state or makes my head feel like an overfilled balloon

Oh yeah I got so overdiagnosed with a bunch of stuff before my autism diagnosis. I got put on so many medications with way too high dosages that only made my life worse. Medical professionals need to seriously start taking autism more seriously because the misdiagnosing they do is dangerous.

I was diagnosed with PDD (no longer a diagnosis) at 4. Then asperhergers (also not a diagnosis anymore, also dyslexic so can't spell) at 7. And finally autism at 12. I'm very grateful that here in Australia we have funding for diagnosis. At the age of 4 I was told it was puberty. Spoiler, it was not. At 14 I was diagnosed with ADHD. I cannot speak on not being treated as a child because I was a child. I was the first "girl" at my school to be diagnosed with then PDD at my school. Story time if anyone cares. One day in prep (the year of school before first grade, so I was like 5 or 6) my teacher was away and we were told to go to a different teachers class, and my best friend was in this class so I was very excited. So I got to school and went to that class, but it turns out their teacher was also away and they had a substitute teacher who didn't know who was and wasn't in the class. Anyway it turns out that the principle went to my class to mark the role and I was not there and they were freaked out cause y'know they lost this child. They ended up calling my parents. They eventually found me and I was suspended for "ditching class" which I still think was stupid. It was prep, class was colouring in sheets and reading picture story books, both activities I love. And no I am not over it.

So thank you so so so much

Someone else said it here too but it’s so interesting to me how neurodivergent/autistic people unintentionally gravitate towards each other and content of those who give off that energy 😅 I started watching your channel before I was diagnosed and now you too

A view doesn't count for YT until you see the end of the video. People sometimes connect before the end.

@@pjaypender1009No, it's at least 30 seconds to count as a view, but IIRC the views counter updates slower than the comments counter.

i‘ve thought that i might really be autistic for a longer time now because i got really deep into the topic and i have and relate to many traits. But i think it would be so hard to get a diagnosis under the age of 18 because some of these professional tests treat autistic people like they are little children and are partially just using stereotypes for diagnosing and idk. On the other hand i think: what if im not autistic? Then what does explain the way i am? Idk it makes me think so much Anyway im glad you have the assurance now and i hope you‘ll be able to figure yourself out over time, i wish you the best :)

I've been following you for a while now, and when I had saw/heard you talk about how you're audhd. I thought to myself "wow, that totally makes sense!", because I could recognize a lot of the quirkiness in your videos, and even the way you'd do things or express things. So for me it was really exciting to know that I could really relate to you in that way, because you're one of my favorite artists! The thing I've noticed a lot about us different people is that we tend to find eachother some how, and I think that's cuz different recognizes different. Even in this video, the way you kinda go off on it with the details and you mixed up a few words, or the speed at which you speak lol. It's like super exciting for me as a person who is also audhd. I also totally get that other voice thing in my head that you talked about, the whole; "you can't say that!". Yeah, I have that too lol. I'm so glad that you were able to have yourself be diagnosed because it is quite difficult for a lot of people. For someone like me who lives in America, it was a long process and I had to jump through a lot of hoops and red tape just to get that diagnosis, simply because not a lot of places or things here actually perform that kind of analysis on adults. It was also really difficult for me mentally and emotionally, just attempting to navigate the medical system. Once having it though, I feel like so much of my life makes sense now, and I'm trying to make things better little by little, because it can just be..in general difficult to find your way through yourself. So I hope that you were able to find your own path forwards with that too because omgz..people just think we make shit up about how we cannot deal with things like sounds and what not. (I have a sound sensitivity personally.) Anyway, love ya, hope to see/hear more of you soon! :D
