@@johnrust592 Good example being the man who made all this technology we're using possible, Professor Alan Turing. He is believed to have Asperger's Syndrome, which made it harder for him to socialize, and being a gay man during the WWII era just made it even harder for him to blend in with society at large. But no matter the difficulties he faced, he still became a legend, helping end WWII and saving the world, and making computing a reality. Now his vision of a machine brain is nearing completion. We've already had AIs that passed the Turing Test, and soon we'll likely be met with the first Strong AI.

The perfect "full stop" on this scene for me was always Troi (Sirtis) going down and Riker (Frakes) doing this almost Elvis-esque ... almost double-take, followed by full facepalm. Great scene brought to ~perfection by that 'capper' of giving the audience that feel of the 'chaotic-ness' finally overwhelming Riker's stoicism and sense of humor... Love it!
