@@l0rdapfelkuchen658 After I reviewed it, I was wrong. I thought deflecting palm set up a delayed trigger, so the trigger would go on the stack and then get exiled when she lost the game. It is a replacement effect, so it does work as they played it.

17:33 Judge here. This is not correct. If a card lets you play/cast a specific type of card from another zone, this includes the back side of MDFC cards. Oracle of Mul Daya lets you play the land side of MDFCs from the top of your deck, Crucible of Worlds lets you play the back MDFCs from your graveyard, and Omenkeel would let you play the MDFC backside lands from cards exiled by it's ability. This is confirmed by several of the gatherer rulings on the card like "If an effect allows you to play a land or cast a spell from among a group of cards, you may play or cast a modal double-faced card with any face that fits the criteria of that effect."

@spoopyboi1882 the difference is between the equipment having the ability vs the equipment giving the ability to the creature, "you" on a permanent means whoever controls that permanent. If the controller of the creature were the one to search sword's ability would have been 'Equipped creature gets +1/+1 and "Whenever this creature attacks, you may search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle."'

Love the chaos that Jonathan brought to this game! Watching Olivia play with her vehicles reminds me of when my brothers and I played with our Hot Wheels and Tonka trucks, thank you for the nostalgia Olivia! 29:28 out of all the MtG ruling I've encounter so far this is the one that confuses me the most, because if you gain control of an opponent creature that has an equipment on you should get the bonus effect that the equipment gives (like in this case fetching a land) even though the "controller" is the player who casted and equip the equipment and not the player who stole the monster.
