There are security cameras everywhere at train stations and there are multiple officers around the ticket gate. I can't imagine this man had the actual guts to evade all of this.
@BlackDragonNico7 ай бұрын
You can buy a ticket that allows you to enter the bullet train tracks for a short time (did use it once to say goodbye to a friend, but I guess it's also for train spotters, etc.), iirc it was around 1000¥. My dad lived in Japan for 3 years in the 80s and and tells me all the time that foreigners tended to be incredibly rude an annoying, so much so that he (a foreigner) refused to hang out with 90% of the people he worked with because they were being assholes and even reported multiple people to the authorities for being disruptive or rude. He ended up making a lot of Japanese friends because he was actually respectful and interested in their culture. Now I’m hoping to move there someday and my sister is moving there in 2 years since it’s where her husband is getting stationed, and my dad drills into us that respect is above all else there. I research the culture alongside learning the language so I can appreciate the country without making waves or causing any fuss when I visit in a few years, I can’t imagine going anywhere and breaking laws and being disruptive on purpose

The most ironic part about this is how Japan is one of the worst places in the world to try and commit a crime - their criminal justice system is absolutely brutal and over 99% of cases end in a guilty verdict. It’s almost a miracle he made it out of the country.

If you ever get caught for a crime there the lawyer's best bet is usually try and negotiate a settlement with the victim of the crime. I visited back in January and met CathyCat and she was explaining to me since the decline is happening, their currency is becoming much weaker and that if another huge disaster such as (Covid) were to happen. Their country would be in serious trouble. The only thing that’s keeping Japan together is foreigners moving there and or big tourists. The same thing happens with the United States, what’s keeping us going is more people moving in and working. When I was back there 1 USD was 110 yen, now 1 USD is 150 yen.
