A crash similar to 2008? I can't see how we can have that much of a decline without first having a big real estate crash. Sure, I can see maybe a year 2000 - style downturn, but a 2008 Lehman -Shock blowout crash? How? You have to remember that the 2008 meltdown was preceded by a 2006 real estate crash brought on by an oversupply of houses having been built. Homeowners were defaulting on their mortgages left and right. Massive losses were being incurred. We don't have ANYTHING like that now. 1929 was also preceded by a 1928 real estate crash. I think we are in for a year-2000- style downturn, not a 2008 blowout crash.
