Thank you for this video!! One of the best things about this lesson is Mohammad's explanations in Arabic. He is explaining things in a simple way using words that many Arabic students know, so it's great listening practice. This is really something that's lacking in most video lessons on Arabic. At some point early on, you need to start learning Arabic IN Arabic. Shukran!

He’s good and can pronounce the letters well. However, his accent is super evident, especially in his sentence inflection and rhythm when he speaks more in other videos, which is totally fine - to have an accent.

5:06 Actually the correct translation of it is "جوال" this translation is common in Saudi Arabia and it's better than just use it as it as in English.

Smart phone : الهاتف الذكي. What no! you're teaching wrong things! Al hatif al thaki!!
@CGEJordan
@CGEJordan 7 жыл бұрын
You are using the MSA word for smart phone. No one uses that word in speaking -- it is only found in academic books and newspapers. If you read the title of this video, we are teaching the Spoken Arabic, which is what is used much more than MSA and is the only thing used in verbal communication on a daily basis everywhere in the Arab World with only a few rare exceptions.

It’s not unfortunate at all! It’s motivational and fun and every bit a proper and legitimate language that millions of native speaking Arabs use everyday for almost all their communication. Classical Arabic was a synthetic language derived for poetic usage and communication across various dialects in the Arabian Peninsula. Several written forms of Arabic existed before it and simultaneously including Hijazi and Najdi.
