This show really is the best at continuity XD The dean was yelling in a megaphone about the fire because of that end scene, in one of the episodes, where Abed/Troy try to pull a fire alarm only to find out they are fake. The level of writing on this show is what makes it one of the best comedies out there, imo. It's just so GOOD

When I first saw this episode, I thought they might actually go with it. For a brief period, I actually believed it was an asylum and that the whole show previously had been in their heads. I think it's because the show had continually pushed the boundaries and broken the genre conventions, combined with how well the insane asylum concept fit with how wild the show had gotten, plus the fact that I was binging the show so everything was super fresh in my mind and it was late at night. I've never found anyone else who ever entertained it as a possibility, though.

Beetlejuice. One of the longest running gags is the Beetlejuice gag. In season one, someone says "Beetlejuice". In season two, Britta mentions Jeff's Beetlejuice striped underwear, in the missing pen episode. Then, in season three, Annie says "Beetlejuice", and Beetlejuice walks by in the background......
