I like the changes she has made. It's really nice with a totally Tamra vibe. The VanBuild community is so cool. This year they build one for a woman whose van caught fire. It proves that Jamie collects great people.

I think you forgot a few people. Those who spent weeks actually doing the build, (it wasn't Jamie). It is the candy and flowers that impress women the most I guess.

Some think Tamra got the bus because she is attractive. What got her the bus was her good Karma having an opportunity to pay dividends. I worked on the bus build. A great guy named Larry Berry and I installed the flooring, built the bed, dinnette, and finished the kitchen counter after others bailed out. The materials we used came out of our own pockets, (other than the fooring material itself). I had met Tamra the Year before when I was donating my time and talents at a van build at Lake Havasu Az. She arrived there in a small 4 door sedan that she lived in. It had one working headlight, a rear side window busted out covered in plastic, and a fabric roof top carrier that had been slashed with a knife by a thief. She didn't have the funds to get any of her work done but came to see if she could help others, (the rule to get work done was you had to buy the materials and the labor at the build was free). I found out that she also had been donating her time at her expense to another charity not affiliated with mobile life. This impressed the hell out of me. I have more than I need and likely more than I deserve, so I made it my goal that she leave with both headlight working, a new rear window installed, and a metal roof top carrier. When I was told of the bus build I was happy to travel to the State is was held and work on the project.

Would it matter if she was brunette and had fried eggs for teats, she needed help and folks chipped in because some people like to help others no strings attached, strange concept for greedy people lol.

Jamie is someone who does the right thing for the wrong reasons. He skims off a good portion of the donations for his own pocket. So in effect he uses others that are truely deserving as poster children for his own profits. The GoFundMe drives go to him first, not the person named in the fund. I worked with him, he knows who I am, so not hiding behind an anonymous name.

How nice that people are generous and she did not have to actually do anything to earn it. There are so many people who are actually in need and continue to work as hard as they can. The community got suckered, Tamara took advantage and I’m sure we can all be proud of this woman with snowflake tendencies. Whatever happened to the American Spirit and working for your own accomplishments....begging is not an accomplishment.

Tamra said that she'd like to get a wood burning stove for her Travel Cabin. The American made Fatsco Pet Stove would heat that space easily and is the smallest stove I know of, it's also extremely well made and inexpensive to buy. The Fatsco Pet Stove is 9.5 inches high, 6 inches in diameter and has an 8.5 inch lantern base which has mounting holes cast into it. These stoves are loved by the wooden boat liveaboard community for their good output of dry heat. The stoves requires little spacing from bulkheads or furniture and are often mounted on shelves as they take up little space in already compact Cabins. Charcoal briquettes, coal and wood may be used as fuel and although tiny, the high heat output fully heats 24 foot long living areas. Constructed from marine grade stainless steel and high quality cast iron, the stoves are very well built and have changed little in their 100+ year history. I have no association with fatscostoves.com other than as a very happy stove owner whom had one shipped across the Atlantic for installation in a mini camper van.

My rent just went up again for this coming month which I think is so insensitive during this crisis. Also if I dont sign another lease and go month to month it's 30% more. I cant live here much longer. I'm looking for a transit bus and the nomad life. Good luck to you.

I used to follow Jamie until I noticed they went out of there way to make sure we saw them do a complete conversion of a school bus for a pretty young white girl. Don’t get me wrong they helped a lot of people, but this was over kill. There are so many more deserving van lifers that he could have chosen to show as he example of there work. I watched them do this build and it took a lot of materials and manpower for one women. I’m just saying.
