You have to be legally a dwarf to have a BMI in the overweight category if you only weigh 50kg??

Which is why its been pointed out by many health experts around the world that BMI cant really be used to gauge if someone is overweight or not. Take Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as an example, he is 193cm, approx 6'4" tall and according to a google search weighs 118kg. That is a BMI of 31.7, otherwise known as Obese. As to a being legally a dwarf to be overweight at 50kg, that would be close, considering little people or "person of short statue", proper terms for people suffering dwarfism are below the height of 147cm or 4'10" they would have to be over 53kg, even then I wouldnt call someone that weight who suffers from dwarfism overweight if they are a bodybuilder because they would be far from overweight when that weight is muscle.

It's wrong about the underweight section, too. My friend has always been ~ 2 points below the underweight line, but she's fine; she gets her period regularly. (if a woman is clinically classified as underweight, she won't have a menstrual cycle)

I took karate for a good decade, if someone wasn't putting in the effort, yeah no one wanted to partner with them. Those who made higher rank were only those who put in the effort. Our belt testings were in one day, starting with lower ranks and ending with those wanting their black belts. The higher ranks always got there early to encourage the younger kids and lower ranks, especially those whose parents weren't that involved. Lots of friendships were made and ngl I miss them all the time. Still surprised at how much they've grown and proud of those who made it to black belt after I left

The thing, is, BMI is horrible as the raw standard of "fitness", because of this. Hulk Hogan in his heyday was BMI around 34. Dave "Drax the Destroyer" Batista, is billed with a BMI at 33.5. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, 32.6 BMI. Using only height and weight ignores muscle-mass, which many people build while maintaining regular exercise regimes. So, like, that poster didn't need to use their sister.

Yeah. In school when teaching us about BMI we were told multiple times. BMI holds little value and is only good to be used for the average build individual. If the person is muscular or has medical conditions it goes to hell.

21:27 - Taking a look at that image in more detail, it definitely has some hints of AI generation, but I'd be curious to know how it was made because it has some interesting features. The hair has oddities but is still reasonably sensible in layering even though it's a complex hairstyle, the ear is surprisingly consistent for the monster girl type, the marker overlap lines are surprisingly realistic... it took me a while of looking at it to catch that the weird shading that looks like AI blending the scale pattern with the block bands would actually make sense if it were an attempt at adding a shadow to indicate a contour from a fold. It all seems surprisingly aware for something purely generative.

I got some Wal-Mart chicken in my freezer now that looks just like that. They also kinda make me feel icky in my tummy when I eat them. They will be in my freezer for ever now I'm afraid. OH!!! On the note of somebody drawing like ai- Louie Zhong, on Tumblr recently made a redraw (recreation?) of a Far Side comic panel. It had some kind of blurry effect, the shapes looked flat, and there were texture differences on a character's shirt, wall, and the sky- somebody accused him of using ai, and then he posted a gif of the models in Blender. Man, that last one gave me math nerd flashbacks. I was trying to figure out what the largest TV I could fit into the space I had, so used a combination of Pythagorean theorem (A squared + B squared = C squared) and some basic algebra to figure out what the generic dimensions of a standard 16 x 9 TV were, came up with the diagonal being roughly 18.36. Reversed it to make a cardboard cutout to figure out the exact size, came up with the smallest 4K they sold at the time being able to fit (43 inch). Comparing the image, the TV, measured on the diagonal is about 4 times the height of a PS5. Not knowing how far away from the TV it is, and generously giving it 100% parity, it is, AT MOST, 60 inches.

This video reminds me of that one time that I posted a digital drawing in an art related Facebook page. The colouring was done in a way that it would give the impression it had been done on paper, but it was purely digital. Ended up getting called out by multiple people because "there was no way it was digital art" or "you could clearly see it was done on paper" 😂 P.S. I bought a pair of leggings on eBay that broke the second I stuck my leg into them. She did such a poor sewing job that they just came apart. I got begging mails from her about changing my rating to 5 stars, and she would then give me 20% off my next purchase. A lot of people might take that deal, and that's how they end with so many 5 stars ratings. I didn't take it. This was my first time buying from her and the product was so bad I refused to buy from her again. She didn't offer my money back. Just 20% of my next purchase which felt insulting. And yes, I am a person that normally leaves a lot of 5 stars reviews. I've never had anything fall apart like that before.

About the tv at the end. A ps5 is 15.4 inches tall which seems to be about half the hight of the tv. With some tolerance, that would make the hight about 31 inches. the width, using 16:9 aspect raito or 1.77:1 width to hight ratio (which is common for most tvs), should be 31 x 1.77 = 54.87 inches wide. Since tv's are measured diagonally, the math to find that measurement should be 31^2 + 54.9^2 = 3975.01 (a^2 + b^2 = c^2). The measurment would be 63.04 inches diagonally. Since most companies round that measurment, it would most likely be sold as a 65 inch.
