Commuting with my E Bike

Thursday I decided to use my bike to drive to my volunteer spot for the Lynchburg Academy Center of the Arts, where I answer phones and welcome visitors to the adjacent building where we have two art galleries and the theater staff have offices. Instead of riding my normal route to go downtown, I continue in the bike lane on Rivermont Avenue to Cabell Street where I could easily detour to pick up a bagel then return to my route to the Point of Honor Trail and onto the Riverwalk Trail. Then using downtown streets, I made my way to the theater. Total distance was 5.5 miles. Along the way, I give you some historical facts about the Rivermont area of Lynchburg, VA.
After my 3.5 hour stint, I headed home and on the way experimented with different 360 camera positions on my bike.

Nice ride but I would have avoided the streets paved with bricks on the way to Main Street. You could have picked up the Blackwater Creek trail by going down Bedford and then turning right on Hollins Mill Rd. before The Dahlia…...but I'm sure you know that route. Good way to avoid traffic on Rivermont.

Good idea and I hadn’t thought about Hollie’s Mill to trail. On that day, however, I went down Cable because I wanted to swing by the bagel shop.

@@BillBooz the ride down to the Hollins Mill trailhead is a fun & fast one starting at the Bedford Ave turn off Rivermont.
