We visited the Back of the Dragon area by Tazewell, Virginia, and I stopped in to talk with Larry, the founder of the Back of the Dragon. Larry and I did a walkaround of the Back of the Dragon welcome center and talked about the history of the Back of the Dragon. What a great story. If you haven't done it yet, plan a trip around this incredible motorcycle road. You won't be disappointed. 32 miles, 438 curves, and 3500 elevation.

This was a top-notch interview from one of the most famous interviewers on KZbin. I was amazed to see interviewing equipment you brought on this trip it was like you had this in mind when you left the house. And yes the second interview was better than the first one with better camera angles and lighting. I think you should do a video on the equipment that you used so other KZbinrs can learn from how they can also do great interviews. Larry and Ron are very great hands-on owners of the Back Of The Dragon. Ride Safe

Very cool, none of that was there on my first visit (May '17), last time through (Oct. '19) that building was a shell (but the dragon was there). I'd like to know who does these curve counts; first time I was there it was wetter than what shows in this video, I took it rather easy, may have lost track at one point but I counted 365 curves. The Snake claims 489, haven't tried to count those, but I believe the Tail's count is rather higher than reality as well. Oh, the guy who takes the photos at the Tail is named Kill Boy, not Killroy. Similar outfit on The Snake, Country Life Photography, got some great pics from my last run through there (fortuitous timing, no other vehicles visible in the photos, just my bike).
@Broncoride

Thanks for correction in name. I couldn’t recall it. I normally don’t count the curves. 😎
@triumphrider9796
@triumphrider9796 3 жыл бұрын
Neither do I but at the time I'd never heard an "official" count and was curious what I'd come up with. I think the Tail's "official" number is far higher than the real number.
