Watched small flea this morning. I often tie on # 22 and smaller and appreciate watching. Thank you.

Hi Vladimir. Nice tying down to that tiny size. I can really appreciate the hand and finger coordination and dexterity along with the eyesight. My sausage fingers can hide a size 1/0 B -10S in the vise! Crazy how the fish see such small bugs among the detritus and flotsam, then satisfying when you hook one. ✌️

@@tomt5176 thanks. Its still easy for me. And i do have large hands. Once i observed fish feeding on small midges in water that was basically liquid mud .. crazy what fish can sense.

Great video. Fished very small emerger last year on a chalk stream for grayling and it was challenging. You've got to watch the water for any little disturbance and then set. I couldn't see the fly. Used 7x.

Thanks. Another great video. Do you have a video on that small ant?
@Oholisfliesandfishing3 ай бұрын
@@bobnorman5269 thanks. I dont have, but its basically same fly, just build up body differently. And body shape isnt even important when fly is this small 😀

Any ideas on where to order the #32 size hooks?
@Oholisfliesandfishing3 ай бұрын
These are discontinued. My suggestion is ebay. Or some other makers. 32 is seldom needed. So try gamakatsu in size 30. Curved model
@BP-19883 ай бұрын
@@Oholisfliesandfishing I like the Gamakatsu C12-BM in size 30. They are barbless with a large eye.

@@chjin2ne I'm 72 and I recently tied some midges on a size 30 with the help of a magnifier. Go for it.

Interesting. I tie small flies , for practising techniques, using magnifier lamp to see, but never fish them as my eyesight cant see , to thread tippet.
@Oholisfliesandfishing3 ай бұрын
@@derekcunningham9993 c&f has boxes with threaders for this purpose. Maybe it can be useful sometimes 🍻🍻
@tomt51763 ай бұрын
Hey there. Also, you can pre-thread your 9x tippet onto your small flies at home and put them into a box specifically for them. A couple flies each in the best colors for your area will do. Now you just tie them onto your leader while on the water and off you go. But, I’m not a big small fly guy either, just can’t see them properly anymore.
