Parabéns pelo vídeo Bruno! Fiz hoje esse upgrade no meu Dsl 40. Ainda não tenho muitos parâmetros pra opinar decentemente. Com relação ao canal clean, não notei tanta diferença. Porém, no canal ultra tive a sensação de um drive com timbre mais aberto, bem estilo Slash. Não sei se é impressão minha, mas estou conseguindo um drive com qualidade muito boa em volume menor, o que não conseguir com o seventy. A partir de amanhã vou começar a fazer alguns comparativos e compartilhando com a galera aqui mesmo para dr um up nesse post. Agradeço novamente. Abraço.

O vídeo realmente tem a intenção de dar um norte pra quem tá a fim de fazer esse Up... digo sinceramente que vale muito a pena, com certeza o v30 tem um equilíbrio maior nas áreas de médio trazendo esse som mais clássico que você menciona, já o 70/80 é mais ardido, e para mim não é uma característica que busco, me identifico muito mais com o v30 mas vai de cada um... como pode ver nos comentários abaixo há quem curta mais o 70/80... ou seja.. vai do que cada um busca e o som que cada um tem na mente! Pois então meu nobre, realmente em algumas situações um vai se sair melhor que o outro, mas gosto é bem subjetivo, nesse caso em relação de maioria e baseado na busca sonora dos timbres clássicos ainda prefiro o V30. Obrigado pelo comentário!

I think with more treble, mids, or brighter mic placement the v30 might have shined a little more. But they're both pretty good sounding. Thanks for sharing this video.

Fiz esse mesmo upgrade no meu Marshall DSL 20 (preferi comprar o de 20 watts por já ter um head Blackstar de 50 watts e uma 4x12) há umas semanas e acho que o amplificador se transformou. Detestava o canal sujo dele e costumava usar meu Bogner Ecstasy Red pro som sujo e, desde que troquei o Celestion Seventy 80 pelo Vintage 30, tenho preferido o canal sujo a todos os meus pedais de distorção. Eu não gostava de usar fuzz nele e desde que troquei o falante tenho usado um Big Muff Nano e um MG Music Lexotone e ficado muito satisfeito com o resultado. A única coisa que realmente não tem jeito é o fato de o pre-amp dos DSL ser muito "nervoso" e ficar um pouco distorcido com um boost na frente para além do que ocorre com outros amplis. De todo modo, achei que valeu muito a pena, finalmente gosto do timbre do canal sujo do Marshall DSL 20 e acho que o canal limpo soa bem tb com o V30. Timbre é questão de gosto, logicamente, mas baseado em outros vídeos que vi, parece que a troca do Seventy 80 pelo Celestion Creamback pode ser uma boa tb nos DSL. De todos os testes que fiz com outros falantes e amplis, eu concluo que o Seventy 80 não é um falante ruim, mas não combina com os DSL (pro meu gosto), mas se dá muito bem, por exemplo, com meu Blackstar HT 50. Ou seja, é questão das características do pre-amp do seu amplificador que um falante vai ressaltar ou desfavorecer (um Celestion Greenback me parece que não iria bem num Masrhall DSL, mas fica incrível num Vox Ac 30 ou Ac 15), é questão de casar o falante ideal pro seu gosto (e pra isso há de se pesquisar e testar) com o pre-amp do seu amplificador, resultados diferentes para gostos diferentes, mas certamente muita variedade.

Acho que a questão do seu amp distorcer o clean é devido a wattagem que deixa o Headroom mais curto em relação ao Dsl40 ou até mesmo seu Blackstar 50, também não acho o 70/80 ruim porém não fez meu gosto casando com o Dsl, V30 é receita certa em 90% dos casos, ruim é ter condição de comprar vários diferentes pra fazer esses testes, afinal não são nada baratos... hehehhe valeu pelo comentário e a troca de experiência! What videos can't show you is how much difference the v30 makes to the difference to the tone of the guitar. Now I can use every pickup and tone knob position on the strat and LP and they all sound fantastic!

Taking into consideration the cleanliness of the playing style, combined with the phrasing of a new-ish sounding player, I don't believe an accurate comparison can be made here. With all due respect, if a player can't cleanly nail Smoke on the Water, perhaps speaker upgrades shouldn't be where the time is spent. With time and muscle-memory upgrades, I believe more professional tones could be coaxed out of both speakers.

Rapaz, confesso que tenho um DSL20 e já pense em fazer este upgrade, mas tem momento em que prefiro o som do Seventy neste vídeo, e em outras passagens o som do Vintage fica melhor. Qual a sua opinião pessoal a respeito dos dois falantes, em termos de vantagens e desvantagens? E qual deles é o vencedor na sua opinião?

Fala Wendel, Bem, antes de fazer esse upgrade pesquisei bastante e fiz essa escolha o mais consciente possível, para meu gosto prefiro o v30 porém como pode observar nos comentários, as opiniões se dividem bastante, muitos preferem o 70/80, é tudo uma questão de perspectiva, pra mim o V30 tem um som mais "smoth" domável e mais equilibrado, porém pra estilos do tipo AC/DC, Heavy, Grunge e afins o 70/80 se sai melhor...

Is it really worth the change from Celestion 70/80 to V30? Can't get the speaker tone to the other by equalizing it? Some say that the 70/80 is better for clean and others say that the V30 is better for the saturated channel, right? I am undecided whether to keep the 70/80 or change to V30🤔. I have a blackstar ht 40 club with the 34 celestion 70/80 and I like to have a fairly wide perimeter that is to say that I can play from decent clean to devastating saturations with good definition. Do you advise me to change the speaker to V30? I need the opinion of a professional, not a beginner, since the hearing of a person who is starting to play guitar is different from the one who has been doing it for some time.

The seventy-eighty is nowhere near the V30 I changed the 70/80 to V30 in my DSL15c (My Grab & Go amp). It became a whole different beast, and sounded a LOT better (This amp also carry's a ECC823 in V1, wich also improved Crunch & Gain abilities and sound)

Who decides which is the best sound or which is worse? I think they are just different sounds and since we are used to seeing our idols playing with those teams, we only want to copy them or sound the same as them, in the end everything is business. Let's say I have on my Pedalboard 4-5 basic pedals let's say OD / Dist, delay, compressor and Eq. But my amp has a 70/80 celestion speaker, can I make the 70/80 sound like a V30 equalizing?

I agree that everything is business, but there are really differences in the range of equalization, the "hardness" of the sound is balanced with the V30, but I agree that there is no better or worse, just different sounds, I also say that just equalizing a 70/80 does not arrives at the sound of the V30 just like the reverse, a V30 does not arrive at the sound of the 70/80. thanks for watching!
