Hint...... No need to remove the disassembly pin on the subcompact. You can, but there is no need to. Just pull it out till it clicks once and leave it there.

I've got the subcompact 9mm. If you are having trouble with accuracy on it, try switching to a cup and saucer grip. I went from not liking this gun to loving it when I switched up my grips. I know every seasoned shooter is going to slay me for this, but I consistently shred center mass with a C&S grip on this gun vs standard grip. There's just not much room to get both hands around this thing which is the trade off for a good conceal carry. Thx for noting that this holds larger mags. I was hunting for that info.

For a full size it's not a BER 92 Full Size Length. Attempting to decide between the .40 cal. or the 9mm. I have several of both calibers. Target and night carry.

I employ the reliable Px4 Storm subcompact for lawful concealed carry. 10 rds of .40 S&W is a significant improvement over my old Detective Special, with it's 6 rds of .38 Spl. They're both roughly the same size and weight.

I just traded my full size for the subcompact. The rotating barrel does make it easier to stay on target for follow on shots but overall, The subcompact is a winner in every other way. Its weight is distributed better, easier to carry, just as easy to shoot single or double action. I find that you are just as accurate at 7-10 yards but the shorter barrel does become noticeable after that (fewer bullseyes unless you are really taking your time-- but still always within the target)

I totally agree, the subcompact is a winner. Nice manageable recoil, and it stays on paper. Probably one of the best subcompacts at 7-10yards.

Gregory Heath when the take down on the full-size is that you don't need to pull back on the slide while doing it, all you need to do is pull down on those 2 levers on the side & the slide will slide forward, just so you know bud & also I 4got to mention is that it's a great conceal carry pistol, it also can be in a 9mm, .40 & .45 caliber as well, too.

I very recently purchased the PX4 Compact. Only have 50 or so rds thru it but initial impression of it is really good. Very smooth shooter and follow up shots are a breeze. I did put site florescent green on the rear and site florescent orange on the front. Ordered better grip adhesive.

I believe the factory trigger is a lot heavier on the sub compact; like 20lbs on the sub vs a reported 12lb on the compact and full size. Not shown here, but the compact is better for lefties for the ambidextrous slide stop which is handy if you are competing. I've been shooting the living snot out of my subcompact lately and even changing up the grip it's tough to manage recoil for fast shooting which is pretty standard on smaller frame guns. I'm not unhappy with the sub, but likely switching over to the compact or the full size. Lately I've been seeing the full size Px4 come cheap.

The full size is about the same overall length as a Glock 17, but it looks tiny sitting by itself. I just got one a few weeks ago. I wanted a 92 like I carried in the Army, but this was on sale for $400. I have about 200 rounds through it and it shoots so smooth and accurate out to 25 yards. The best part is that it sits well in my o.w.b. holster and doesn't hit my kidney like the Glock does. The double action trigger is smooth too. Definitely a great full size carry gun, both for duty and c.c.w.

I too have the sub-compact in a 40. It sounds like a cannon going off. At first I was very inconsistent with it but later found out it was my trigger control. I’m not sure why it made more of a difference with this gun than my others but it did. As of today that is a thing of the past as I now find it extremely accurate. But it still sounds like a cannon. lol

Great video! Im getting ccw soon and I was wondering which one would you chose p320 subco or px4 subco, visually I like them both, reliability wise Im reading that malfunctions happen only to 1% if not less out of 99%. In my state there are no shops that have p320 and px4 so I cant test them out. But I do own P226 in .357 and know that sig is great brand any kind of help would be nice.
@HammerStriker
@HammerStriker 7 жыл бұрын
Thank-you. Personally, though I think the PX4 is well made, I would choose the P320 of the two. The P320 is lighter and more streamlined. The PX4 Subcompact did exhibit some bullet stabilization issues (at least the one we had) that might point to ammo sensitivity. We have also done a full review on both of these PX4s that may help you as we go into more detail on both - the links are in the video description. We also have a full review on a P320 (Though it's not a subcompact ) at kzbin.info?o=U&video_id=NQugohQMz8w if that helps at all.

Asention plus, for defensive purposes, at least for me, I might always question the dependability/reliability of the rotating barrel design. Or maybe thats just due to my inexperience with that design.
@clplusp8762
@clplusp8762 7 жыл бұрын
Then again, the subcompacts barrel tilts instead of rotating
@HammerStriker
@HammerStriker 7 жыл бұрын
Both designs have proven to be reliable and have been around long enough to be pretty well vetted. The rotating barrel is more complicated and attention to maintenance is a little more important. The thing that I personally would be the most concerned about is the random fliers that we encountered with the subcompact where we would have a nice tight group then one "over there". If you choose the subcompact make sure to spend time at the range to verify that your choice of defense ammo is reliably accurate in it before putting it into your holster and rolling out.

Didn't you feel the amount of resistance the pin had to completely remove it? The take down pin does not need to come all the way out . The gruve in the pin is stopped by a detent pin . after putting the upper back on turn the pin clock wise to the originale angle and push it back in. Does anyone really think the oldest company in the world make a pistol that would have a piece of the gun be required to be removed to take it down .

@@---tx9xx AR safety sits above the thumb and flips clockwise (3 o'clock to 6 o'clock when shouldered) to go from safe to semi, and then clockwise (6 o'clock to 9 o'clock) to go from semi to burst or auto. Beretta slide safety also sits above the thumb, and also flips clockwise (3 o'clock to 6 o'clock at low ready, or 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock when aiming) to go from safe to semi. So I have never forgotten where to find the safety or which direction is safe... because it's the same.
@---tx9xx
@---tx9xx Жыл бұрын
@@rediius OK I'm not trying to be obtuse, but I trained extensively on the M4 while in the service, and the direction I move my thumb on that to go from safe to fire is the opposite of that on the m9. I flip my thumb downwards to get the m4 from safe to semi, and must flip my thumb upwards to switch the m9 from safe to fire. by contrast, on a 1911, i flip my thumb downwards (towards the ground when the barrel is towards the target), the same direction i move thumb to move the ar platform from safe to semi. so the m9/92 and m4/16/ar safeties must be manipulated in opposite directions...
