Hey Dave! Nice to see that you are still making videos! I remember when I was younger (around 10 years ago!) I used to watch your videos every day after school, they were the most entertaining and interesting thing to me. I used to love the StormLauncher series of modifications and such, oh yeah cant forget those old AirHogs Havoc Helis we used to put push pins in to make them fly forward! Good times! Im only 20yrs old right now so I still have a long time ahead of me for R/C! Right now Im really stuck on FPV drones. I have a 5" ImpulseRC Alien and a couple TinyWhoops, however since my love of R/C kicked back into high gear now that im out of school I plan on buying a bunch more! I really want to grab a couple planes or 30 haha... I just wanted to stop by and say thank you so much for leading me in the direction of R/C and teaching me alot of what i know... Sincerely wish you the best! Long time watcher and inspired r/c pilot, Cameron

Dave - thank you so much for your review of Aerofly Ultimate RC 7.5! I have been wanting to get this for a long time, but didn't have the machine with the proper speed to run it, now I do. Downloaded it from Steam and it works great! I am using it with my Spektrum DX9, and the Spektrum Wireless Simulator Dongle WS1000. So far, works great! Thanks again - and keep the great videos coming!

I learned that with airplanes also. If you become disorientated for whatever reason, relax, let the plane fly in a normal stick configuration, then slowly attempt a left or right rudder turn. Its best to not panic. In the event of a fast flying plane, again relax, dont chop the throttle or bank the plane. Helicopters are a different animal when you lose orientation, especially if it is flying away from you.

I used to work for real flight when they first came out. If I thought the others were better, that's what I would be flying. I have actually owned and tried them all. But since I actually have flown real RC helicopters for over 45 years, I disagree, but that's okay. To each his own.

Yes, you should be able to. Many manufacturers make Dongles for many radios. Jeti might actually make one too. Check the specs on Steam website to see the requirements. I'll look forward to flying with you.

@@NightFlyyer i heard that aerofly doesn't simulate stalls... Is that true?
@NightFlyyer
@NightFlyyer 5 жыл бұрын
@@tommasoviani8949 That's not true at all. Real flight folks always stick up for what they have, so I imagine this is who you heard it from. I can do stall turns, immelman's, flat spins, and regular spins just like a real RC plane, if that is what you mean? And if you fly too slow, it will stall and fall out of the sky and the entire planet Earth will smash into the plane. Like I said, I've learned more on this sim than any other I owned, and I actually owned most of them. But it's your choice. Make sure you have a computer that can handle it and have fun, either way you go.

I already have a Spectrum transmitter and the dongle but have yet to buy the software. Will this software (aerofly RC 7) work? Many thanks. I have just bought my first plane and would hate to crash it without some practice on a simulator.
@NightFlyyer
@NightFlyyer 5 жыл бұрын
Yes. As you can see from my video, I use Aerofly RC-7.5. It works just fine and there are lots of ways to setup all the channels in the Transmitter section of the software. Aerofly is a good choice, as it flies closer to my real planes than any others I have tried. I also did a review on the Spectrum Dongle, you may like to watch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJfSdH6JbrCogpY Thanks and good luck.

I bought the RC 7 and the Aero Fly controller. I've never used it because I can't set it up. There are no manuals for the controller. And worse yet, there is no way I've found to contact support directly. No chat and no phone that I can locate. I don't even know if the controller requires batteries. there is what looks like a battery compartment, but without a manual I'm lost.
@NightFlyyer
@NightFlyyer 5 жыл бұрын
There is really no need for instructions. They are in the controller setup program. Just plug it in and click search for new controllers. Easy. It uses no batteries, runs on USB power. Also, like any game controller, it also must be calibrated in windows first, under Game controllers. Most of us use the Aerofly controller dongle and our regular wireless transmitters, to fly without a cord. There is all kinds of help on the Steampowered.com website as they host Aerofly. Good luck.

I can't figure this out. I'm new and have no reference, The sound doesn't work, the throttle control doesn't work. On zero throttle the plane just taxis on it's own. I can't stop it. Can't figure out what the neutral position is the channel select button -- so I can't callibrate. there are so many unknowns and variables that it's an impossible task. Also I tried to find Rc7 at the game sight you mention but it's not there. I'm not trying to be difficult but for a beginner this is impossible. BTW I'm 69 years old and have used everyday for the last 20 years. I just can't get anywhere with this.

@@NightFlyyer just figured out that the on / off ( they call it "mixer) switch has to be off while calibrating. I'll try that. I'm getting there now. Thanks

@@word67 Charles. I hope you get it. If the plane just taxis around on its own, its because the TX is not being seen. If on Windows 10, it is best to plug in TX in to USB, Do search at the bottom left corner for Game Controllers, FIRST. When there, select the one you are using and calibrate it there first. Then when you start RC 7, do a new TX search and select the USB controller after it finds it. After that you can select calibrate and assign switches and you should be good to go. That TX actually works pretty good, so I hope you get it up and running. Then you can fly online with me sometime, if you don't mind flying with the old guy at 71!
