Comparison of all versions of Astarion: Spawn Astarion before the ritual, Spawn Astarion after the ritual and Ascended Astarion in a dialogue with Araj in act 3. Astarion is in romance with Tav/Durge.

WOW! You can really see the differences here, that Ascended Astarion is no longer the same person he was back in Moonrise Towers. I love that after ascending he is much more confident and ready to defend us from any dangers.

What I like about this scene is that it really shows that Spawn and Ascended are the same person. They say pretty much the same thing, but in different ways. The one key difference is that Ascended is a lot more protective of his consort.

I remember when I first spoke to Araj with ascended Astarion (have only spoken to her with spawn before), and was surprised with his first dialogue because I didn't remember hearing it before xD Then I realised this is one of the few scenes where both spawn and ascended have different responses ^^

@@KuroPhina I also didn't know before that there were different reactions and was pleasantly surprised. 😅 Although there aren't many such dialogues in Act 3, I'm glad that they provided for it here. ☺️❤️

@@iamkittybg3 It would be cool if the love test changed. The love test answers make sense for spawn before facing Cazador but I feel like both stayed-spawn + ascended should have different responses in that scene ^^

I'm so proud of Spawn that he learned to stand up for himself and reassures Tav he'll be fine. Love it. But Ascended... he spares no thought about himself, he's all about protecting Tav and reassuring her that she is safe, and that just 🥵 Araj is very pretty though, the face they used for her was one of my favorites, until I met her. Now I can't use it for any of my Tavs or Durges, because all I see is Araj and I hate her so much for how she speaks to Astarion when we first meet her in act 2 lol. 😅

@@Nakumiya I like Araj's face too, but overall she fits the drow's behavior: they dominate men. I don't like her because she bullies our Astarion, but I understand her lore. 😅 I love Ascended Astarion here, he's very confident and he really wants to protect his consort. He doesn't need protection for himself anymore, he wants to protect Tav and I think that's really cool and telling.☺️❤️

@@iamkittybg3 I love drow! My first character on BG3 was one, she was the one who first ascended Astarion in all my playthroughs and absolutely no regrets haha. I also adore Minthara, I finally got her last playthrough and omg she is so funny. Mind you, from the way Minthara talks about her past I'd never want to be a drow, I'd be so dead lol. It really is telling how protective Ascended Astarion is. If anyone ever tried to really harm Tav I think they would really regret it.

@@Nakumiya I always say that Mintara is one of my favorite companions. Besides her background, she always describes all the companions so accurately and so deeply, and always says the right things (well, except for the world takeover, but my Durge is chaotic, so it's okay for me) 😂❤️

Dude, how could you stop the scene there? There are more differences in the conversation later. Like, Spawn Astarion will say "I don't want you to get hurt" while Ascended Astarion doesn't say that.

@@cris45025 in a lower city in act 3. You should teleport to the central wall of the lower city, then go down to the sea a little, then turn right to the arc, walk through the next arc and her house will be on the right side
