I like the album version much better tbh, the mix is better, the drums sound cleaner, the bass sounds cooler, it's a bit shorter. Made it much better to me at least.

I love the lyrics from the first song, especially in parts like "there's gonna be a fight, gonna be a price to pay on Monday", "LA really messed me up" and "(I was fine without ya)". I also love the "aaaaah" part in the beginning. That being said, the bass line in the final version is spectacular, it's one of the things that make it really worth checking.

In a perfect world, the original borderline would have been tweaked with the 'oomph' and 'crispiness' of the new version, retaining the atmosphere, lyrics, and length of the original (not to mention the bongos) IMO, the single feels like it has loads of space, where as the album is banging, but slightly rushed (compared to the single). Both are different versions of the same song, and both are great in their own right.

The only thing I like more about the album version is that is sounds clearer, whearas the single version in comparison sounds a little bit like it's coming through muffled ears. However the musical elements, structure, and lyrics of the single version are superior. And I never had trouble hearing the bass. 🤷‍♀️

I fell in love with the original song but it wasn't on repeat for me, I usually just had it play every so often on shuffle and had a boogie but that was about it. But holy shit when Kevin released the album version I found myself listening to it like it was the first time and now I can't stop playing it. I know I am probably the minority here but TSR version just makes me feel some type of way. I think it showcases just how fluid his work is and how he has a gift to amplify a song to incredible heights, just by the instrumentals alone. I agree with others on the vocals though with the original, they were brilliant. I'm sad it's been stripped from streaming sites, I do enjoy both overall. The album version just vibes with my taste better, instrumental wise. His music just has great variation overall, I'm so glad I discovered Kevin back in 2015 during my crippling seasonal depression ❤️ Great video, thank you!

The new version has that really good vibe. Like the instrument. All the instrument you really can't hear it at all. But the vocals is the only thing you can only hear.
