You can purchase a piece to put an optic on it if the model you have has a side mounted thumb ledge if not it would have to be drilled and tapped.

Is this gun only for sports shooting? Not a good handgun for self defense?

Extremely light trigger and the gun is quite heavy itself, and the size makes for difficult holster choices. It's not a "combat" gun.

Yup about a 1lb trigger. Shadow 2 would be a better home defense pistol as you can mount a light and have it in double action

SAO trigger on TS is sub 2 lbs. But it has a manual safety. Heavy competition gun, not really for carry. If for home defense a decent 40 cal gun with good ammo would work. Better yet, pump "shotgun" is best for home defense.

it is one fret heavier, you don't understand a competition pistol with a fixed rear sight at more than $1000 without saying that it has problems with the reamer used, I think it was designed by a computer out of measurements...a failure for CZ,... Today on the street new below the price of Shadows 2..failure of CZ-USA
