I really like the idea of highlighting the differences between very similar looking JMs for the Saturday showcase. Often times the pictures of various varieties don't distinguish themselves from others. Some lighter colored reticulated varieties and Purple Ghost offspring come to mind. Please keep this theme of Saturday Showcase coming!

If these are staked to 6’+ do they harden off enough to hold themselves up or will they need to remain staked?

Yes they will harden off in a few months and hold the shape

@@MrMapleShow Awesome, thanks for the reply! I got a ryusen from you guys last year and the stem was weeping down at about 18" and seemed fairly hard. I have had it staked up vertically since then and will continue staking until it reached 6'+. Will the section of the stem that was bent eventually straighten and then harden in the shape it is staked?

Extremely yellow in spring and early summer. They do green up some late summer with yellow new growth. Morning sun with late day shade has had the best colors

Hello, I following all yours videos and experiences you guys sharing with us, now I need help, I have a green maple Japanese tree the diameter of its trunk is 5 inches, the problem I have is for some strange reason its bark fell off around its branches and it would be sad if my almost 5 foot tall tree died.. please any help

Likely some freeze damages from being active during the winter. Depends on the damages really did the next step. Make sure it isn’t staying to wet. To much fertilizer can activate them during the winter also
