Very nice review indeed. Many thanks. I have the original version and I think that I will wait before getting the new version expecting the price will go down. Anyway, an upgrade of the hardware with more powerfull CPU and a higher memory RAM and storage will make this new model more attractive in comparison with other Android 5 smartwatches which is not the case presently.

Does this give VO2max info like Stratos? I read that Stratos has features such as training effort load by working with FirstBeat algo. Pace has none of these?

Using pace from 10 months, after somany fitness watches I purchased, like tomtom , Nike and more, Amazfit pace is far better than any smart or fitness watch, except sometimes because of the claudy and lot trees in my area the GPS reception is weak, when it's clear sky there is no problem with GPS reception, But I didn't expect Stratos will look so,costly, bulky and ugly after all similar specs !!

Does amazfit pace have warranty?mine had broken when I jump into a pool...it cant withstand the pressure even for a pool with 3 feet depth..im very disappointed with its performance..ip67 is only water resistant..not waterproof.

"Nothing" is waterproof. I have a Orient watch that is water resistant only until 1000 feet. IP67 should resist 5 feet for half an hour. I don't know about that "jump"

No it wouldn't be covered because of the action taken even if there was a warranty. It's because the action of jumping into water introduces unknown and untested pressure anomalies. Even at 3 ft with a solid jump your exposing it to many atmospheres of pressure under water. Even some 5ATM watches can't be used for jumping or diving into water if any depth, typically diving watches for instance have a higher ATM rating to account for the unknowns.

Mueez rao Just looking into cost per festures i guess earlier one is far better. In 2nd its only about aesthetics, but costs twice as much and it goes dangerously into apple watch or huwaei watch category whci are far better products. First one with keeping in mind reduced price is too good to skip.

There are problems with this watch. You can set an interval for the heart monitor, it's either off or continuous, which drains the battery. The sleep tracking is very inaccurate compared to the cheap MiBand. The App isn't good & there aren't any alternatives unlike with the MiBand

I just received the Pace watch for Christmas. Overall I was really happy the first couple of days. However, I started to notice major issues. Every time I open Amazfit watch app I'm aggressively prompted to grant Contacts permissions. I also disabled Phone permissions. I DO NOT USE CALL NOTIFICATIONS. however the Pace Watch is prompting me that I receive calls, each and every time. The app somehow overrides the granted permissions. THIS IS A MAJOR vulnerability in ANDROID Security and a shady approach for Xiaomi/Amazfit. I can only stop receiving call notifications when in Airplane mode on the Pace. Do you have similar issues? Is there a fix? Not to mention the terrible support for 3ed party services such as Google Fit. Still, I got 2 updates since I bought it. Looking foreword for a more transparent approach and further integration with other services for the EU market. This is not China.
