4:42 wow! a cabbage on the cascades! I thought they were only used on the downeaster

this is irrelevant because passenger trains are faster and shorter and freight trains range in size. And tracks may be full of traffic, so train speed is irrelevant as well.

those were northbound, if that is Trackside Pizza just across the tracks. Plus, I agree that you can't compare an Amtrak with a freighter. Maybe a short freight train, with the same number of cars as Amtrak.... I'll take a freight train any day. I love them. Saw 4 of them on Monday when I was at that exact crossing.

With your direction being wrong (in your textthey were northbound not south bound) the video was good
@VERGDV9 жыл бұрын
+airplanebuilderman That is a northbound train if you look at the entire rail system. Even though the train is traveling SE in the video, the tracks mainline ultimately turns north about 1.5 miles past this location.

Does the jogger have any idea what would happen if he tripped while crossing the rails? SPLAT!

passenger train only has 6 cars while cargo tarin has 8o cars.... big difference

Apparantly not. I used to live next to the LIRR tracks, and we took train safety very seriously. Once those bells started ringing, we just stayed put.

there was no comparison as the trains weren't the same length......of course the passenger train will cross quicker
