I have not included the villager trade rebalancing in this video, as it is currently experimental and is unknown if or when it will be implemented. It is also highly controversial, as it makes various librarian trades much more time consuming to get, and other smithing related trades are also more difficult to get. We will have to wait and see what happens. With the 1.21 update, the Trial Explorer Map trade was added to the Cartographer. This has an equal chance to be a trade as the other maps.

Has anything been set in stone regarding villager trades yet. It seems like everything is worse from what I remember. I can't get better discounts after trying to cure them multiple times. Has anything else been nerfed regarding them?

@@BlueLightningHawk Other than that, nothing has been nerfed. The experimental villager trade rebalancing still is not out of experimental, and since it's been quite unpopular, I can't see them making it officially part of the vanilla game.

Remember, that villagers will be getting changed soon. With their care change, raid farms are going to be much more effective. Librarians and cartographers are getting overhauled. Librarians are now going to offer the best books at their master levels. Cartographers are going to offer maps to other villages, making it easier to get these high-level books.

I wouldn’t say “will” quite yet. This is still a completely separate experimental feature that has no date, and is highly controversial, as there are a large number of players who are completely against it. Mojang already knows that they need to be careful about alienating a significant number of players. Nothing about the rebalancing makes it easier to get certain enchantments. Large biome players will be completely screwed over, and central villager trading halls will be far more trouble than many players want. I know many players who are hoping this remains experimental permanently, or gets its own toggle.

This video is exactly what I was looking for. I’m trying to figure out what villagers I need and what o should be using my time & resources on. I’ve been making kelp/XP farms for years and never knew I could sell the blocks! Having the trades layer out knowing what to expect, and what trades I should be aiming for are also massively helpful. The only thing I can think of to add is a mention of villager breeding & mentioning using some spare villagers to make an iron farm. Those would definitely be their own video though. Otherwise just adding time stamps for each villager type in the breakdown of their trades makes this video 10/10!

You can also buy flint for gravel and emeralds , this is the best way to get flint easier just get yourself a fletcher, flint is also a great for trading of course it helps level up some type of villagers

do the villagers not take a occupation if there are already a certain amount of villagers around? i have three villagers that took a role on but two others that don't want too, am i doing somthing wrong

They're attached to another job. Break all job blocks near and they'll attach

That was actually a bug and minecraft patched that quite a while ago which only allows you to get a discount once no matter how many times u cure

Hello! I'm not sure if this is much help since I'm a bedrock player, but the same situation has happened to me, and I'm pretty sure it's because it becomes night and not all of them go to their homes so they end up turning into zombie villagers and burning in the sun without you knowing, what I ended up doing it when they go into their homes I just place a dirt block Infront of their door to trap them in, and none of mine have been disappearing since :)

I have a problem please anyone help me !😢 When i cure a fletcher it gace me discount of 34 to 25 sticks and i agained cured him because i needed 1 stick trade but when i cured him he gave 25 sticks again and no one of my villager is reducing its price after curing him Please helpppppp i would be so thankful to that person who helped ❤❤
