Right on Dj Barr. I commercialized my Djing last year and my basic set up looks close to the one you just built. It does go upwards of the 2K mark because of a bunch of miscellaneous items like scrims, XLR cables and all types of other cables, a few back ups here and there but you did a marvelous job making the 2K work. I remember starting out with one EV ZLX 12 and just doing small gigs until I made enough money to buy a second one and built on from there. Beginner DJ’s: 12” speakers are most likely better in the long run, when you use subwoofer. They have a better midrange frequency response. I'd save the lights and facade for last or another day. You need at least 1 wireless mic. Shure has the blx24/sm58 for around $350. If they want to do speeches, or if the officiant of the ceremony needs it, you'll need quality so there's no dropouts. Then grab a wired mic for yourself, to do announcements for around $30. Then the lights, which btw you can find some really great off brand lights to get you started, like lalucenatz on Amazon.

The hardest part for me is the lights so I went with the gigbar. Getting the right stuff and essentially what’s gonna stand the test of time while you establish yourself. It’s gonna depend on how you use it by not blowing your speakers because a lot of entry level djs can’t EQ mix or just don’t wire their stuff correctly. And a flight case with a slide delete the laptop stand and carrying case, and instead of the 4 par I would go with the lower priced 2 par setup or Chauvet setup quality just as good and lower in price. And a Furman power strip ss6b not trusting anyone's wall service to control voltage spikes.

Don't prefer beginner DJs at the beginning a Serato DJ controller. Most of them don't know that the software is a lite version and they have to spend extra 100 bucks for this software. Rekordbox is for a beginner better than Serato. Later he can choose if he want stay with Rekordbox or switch to Serato. I would prefer 15 inch speakers because you don't know in which location you are staying for. And which beginner can afford 2 pairs of speakers? And I would also prefer the AKG WMS 40 Mini Dual Vocal as wireless mic because AKG is a good company and you can trust AKG for their sound and quality.

If your handy at all you can make a good looking facade.

Bro I have been a fan of your channel and I got so inspired by you thats why I started my audio visual team. I have a question about power tripping. I have 2x1000 watts speakers and 4 Chauvet 350z moving heads for some reason some venues are tripping their power, is there a way to avoid this? Noob question :)

Might be obvious, but always use more than one circuit. Never plug everything into the same circuit. They to use at least 2. 3 is perfect. If they only have one that's close you'll have to use some long heavy duty extension cords. They aren't cheap either.

You still recommend a facade for 2019? I want one but have yet to pull the plug on one.

Can you hookup a crown amplifier to the system
@wirelessmikedj77842 жыл бұрын
You need passive speakers....active powered speakers have the amp built in.
