Does the bracket for the GoPro come with the chin mount when you buy it or do you have to buy it separately

You can buy the bracket by itself, or just order the kit. It’s not much more, that’s what I did

Say I installed it and did everything like in the instructions, but the next day it’s a little crooked. Can I take it completely off and heat the adhesive again and reapply it?

You can always adjust the angle when your editing your video, but you’d have to do it every time. You can try to heat it up first with a heat gun to remove, then reapply. No guarantees on it holding tho. Record once and see how it looks before you try that.

The small black thread is the tether. It’s an extra form of security that attaches to the GoPro, in case the Chin Mount fails.

I absolutely use the tether. I wrap it around a few times, so it does not blow in the wind. Also, with your microphone being inside the helmet, you would not be able to hear it.

ChinMounts are 3D printed junk. I was floored when it arrived and found out it was 3D printed.

I’ve never had an issue with with mine, except for the Ruroc mount

@@RAIDERWORLD It came with loose 3M adhesive tape and didnt even fit my motorcycle helmet. Fell off because it pressed against the front vent, I guess they didnt check that vent when making the 3D print.
