Fantastic! It’s always confused me why no one makes better cowls and some dealers have gone to the trouble of remaking the standard ones which were for cooling a 10hp barrel.

Understand about the airflow wye would you cut a vent in the cowling then cover up with a other plate cover doesn’t make sense

A cowling doesn't make sense to me...the Finning is to increase airflow and keep the cylinder head lower..a Cowling raises it

If scooters were open like a motorcycle yes but they’re not, on both Lambretta and Vespa, the engine is concealed by the side panels. So you need the fins on the flywheel to direct fresh air to cool the cylinder and head. This cowling helps to direct that air flow
