Completed electric beach cart build

I tried to do a good walk around of the final product before I ran out of video space on my phone but it didn't quite happen.. in other words, I am sorry the video ended to abruptly bit my phone forced it to end lol. anyways, I did at least get the entire cart and it's features in the video for everyone to see. hope u guys enjoy the finished product! I can honestly say I am GLAD IT'S OVER! haha. We leave for the beach tomorrow. Maybe I will remember to get a good video of the cart in action on the sand and in the campground. Great Job !! Appreciate the info on the build. I want to do something more basic, just need something to haul through the sand and pull my cooler behind it.

Oh yeah, I most definitely did overkill on this build, but we literally used ever feature at the beach and it was super nice lol. We do have 2 kids though, so when we go we stay out there half the day, literally. Make sure to use the gray balloon tires on your build. It will make a huge difference. I bought some but haven't done the installation yet. It went through the same and all but was still a challenge with these tires in the video

Hey bro. I want to do the same thing to my cart as well. I bought the 1,400lb 12 cubit utility wagon from Tractor Supply. I want to upgrade the wheels as well to beach wheels. How do you add the gear to the wheels so you can attach the chain and power them with the motor?

So the wheels in the video actually slide right on the the axle with splines and that’s what allows the chain and sprocket to drive them, but the new beach tires I got don’t come with that type of setup. I haven’t quite gotten the time to figure out just what I am going to do but what I am thinking is I took a couple of tires off of my sons old messed up razor dirt quad and the it looks like the metal two part rim will be a direct replacement for the plastic rims that come on the balloon tires. If this is the case I am going to weld the splined portion onto the dirt quad rims and use them with the same splined axle I am using in this video. If none of this works, I am going to be designing whatever I need on the 3d printer. I will let you know after I get time to get it all figured out. If you do before me, please let me know
