Mortius, your reaction was priceless! I knew what was coming each time (I've watched his video at LEAST a hundred fifty times), so the excitement and anticipation i felt inside for me to see you react for your first taste of Dan Vasc was so overwhelming and immense! I felt like a kid again, waiting up for Santa! Dan, you are tremendous! You are everything beautiful in this world! You are funny (yes, I watched your Pour Some Sugar on Me video and couldn't stop laughing - and also realized you are a humble and genuine person), you're talented, you've worked very hard to get to where you're at, and you appreciate your viewers. Thank you! I pray that you continue doing God's work! 💜

About 15 years ago I crawled out of the pit of depression. it took almost everything I had including my love for music. I completely stopped listening to it. 3 months ago, my girlfriend sent me a video of amazing grace by Dan. I didn't open it for 3 or 4 days. But when I did, I was mesmerized. It was like I had never heard it before. By the time he got to bright shining. As the sun. I Had a come back to God moment. and my heart was full. My soul was on its knees. And my love for music had been reborn. I'm not saying Dan did that. but the Lord must have been working through him. Because I'm a different person. Can't get enough music. Drinking it all in like a Tall glass of ice water on a hot summer's day. new and old. I got a lot of catching up to do. The power of music can Touch your soul and change your life in the blink of an eye. Thank God I listened to a video I didn't want to open by somebody. I had never heard of on a day. I was so bored. I actually listen to a music video. Everything happens for a reason and all things are possible with God. Love your show. You're kickin ass

This is THE PERFECT rendition of Amazing Grace. He starts out humbled, almost ashamed of who he is and what he’s done, begins to accept the gift of Divine Grace and, ultimately, exults in it.All while never once losing the reverence for the source of that Grace.

He can sing in his rearward register, but you can definitely tell he's more comfortable in his forward register. I'm a Basso Profundo, so when I go forward, you can absolutely hear that's not where I'm comfortable. At the exact same pitch in the exact same octave, when I go into my rearward register, I'll shake the floors. He's also MUCH more comfortable in the Tenor octave.

When your soft palette is completely raised, the nasal cavity is blocked. If you are singing and can pinch your nose without the tone changing, the soft palette is completely raised. This can allow forward placement without the nasality.

Amazing Grace always, always, ALWAYS hits me in my soul. Two bars in, and I'm bawling. Trying to sing a truly beautiful Baptist/Gospel style version for my High School choir - in multiple competitions and other performances - was, well, a challenge. I can do it, or at least i used to be able to do so, but... yeah. Tear city. Add in Bagpipes (and apparently harmonicas, who knew?) and I need a full box of tissues. {I don't have any tissues with me. I've also fogged my glasses. I can't see.}

Just for the record this harmonica that he use was a gift from his father that unfortunately pass away years ago, the songs he use it are always really emocional, and his father was a Elvis Presley big fan, so used in Amazing Grace was really awesome from him. (forgive my english i am from brazil the same place Dan is from), big hug and i love your reaction

Amazing Grace is one of my favorite songs, and when I was in a care home,at the end of a group session the other people there would always ask me to sign it because they liked the way that I sounded when I sang the song.

Guys like Dan Vasc are the reason I've enjoyed metal since 1986. Metal singers are awesome, well a lot of them, because they can sing beautifully but their screams sound amazing.

He took us to church with this beautiful rendition. I've listened 100 x at least. Still get chills. He has such a vocal tool box. Amazing. Try some of his other stuff. "I'll make a man out of you" is marvelous. :)

This song has never really had a sentimental attachment to me because my name is in the song (I know that sounds weird but my family would always joke that the song is about me) and I've just heard it so much that it doesn’t have any impact on me. But holyyy this cover kind of made me a bit emotional. Just the way that he did this was so powerful and I feel like it just hits you in a way that you aren’t expecting. I'll have to go check out the original without your commentary so I can really soak it in. Thank you for the great reaction as always friend💜 Also, this is a bit off-topic but it has been a year since I found your channel (I first subscribed on May 2, 2022) and I just want to say that I am so thankful that I found you. Your reactions always bring me joy and improve my day, whether I am having a bad day or not. Thank you so much for always making content that makes me smile and for being your amazing self, I appreciate you so much💜💜

Oh I totally agree. This young man is so sweet, and funny, and sincere. And, quite frankly, as my daddy used to say, is a hoot and a half.

This is an amazingly gracious cover of one of my beloved songs as well. Never heard Dan Vasc before and I was blown away first time hearing it a couple of days ago. ❤
