Sir, here you used S=(Irms^2 x R )+ (Irms^2 x XL) Why we can't use S= ( Vrms^2/R + Vrms^2/ XL)? When I tried i got different answer. Can you please explain this.

Because current is same in both R and L but Vrms is the source voltage it is not the voltage drop across Resistor or inductor
